  1. Love Spawn! It's been a staple of my collection since the beginning, the various newsstand issues marking the times I've moved or an LCS closed.

I really enjoyed Newshane's pursuit of the 9.8+ set and I remember his bounty on a HG #156 reaching 80+. That book is tough in HG.

    Here's my monster number... 528. I try for raw NM+ and only have 3 Spawn slabs (100 Ross, 150 Lee & 151 SS Medina/Perez)

  2. A few new Spawn purchases... the munitions pack (#1), Shadow of Spawn 7" with chains, & pre-ordered the accessory pack (#2) from McFarlane toys. I like the Mortal Kombat Spawns ... but I have enough of them now I like the accessories more.

Part of the accessory packs is working around the Warner Bros "no guns" policy for the 7" DC figures, so these packs have weapons 'intended' for Joker, Deadshot, Harley, Freeze etc.  Mcfarlane toys charges $10 shipping so $25 per pack ~1.50/piece.

  3. Thanks for resurrecting this sweet Haunt thread... got me a little re-education and it gives me something to look for in my backissues.

In UPC terms ... the 02462 is the product reference code. The number on the left is the manufacturing code. There's a whole cool history of the codes and just a little review reminds me it's time to make some flashcards and start memorizing some of it because it communicates great info at a glance.

Thanks guys, we are fine.  I just backed the RV up to the house so, I could use the generator.  The entire 1/2 acre is completely covered with debris.  I guess I will be getting plenty of exercise.

On the plus side that storm will knock all the humidity out of the air for a week.

  5. I lived in Baton Rouge 2002-2008 (notably Hurricanes Ivan, Katrina & Rita). We'd routinely lose power for up to a week at a time and to BTR is where NOLA ppl often evacuate. Lost power, local flooding, storm surge up intercoastal canals, road/bridge damage, waste removal, supply chain disruptions for months (food, gas, construction materials), queues, downed trees, powerlines ... ugh.

Is it true Tampa area hasn't been directly hit since the early 1920s?

If so that does not bode well. An ax in the attic was the old Louisiana adage after Hurricane Betsy. You keep an ax in your attic... knowledge mostly forgotten by 2005.
