  1. Hi Guys, I've sold a bunch of stuff on here over the years and had a generally great experience. My business needs an infusion of cash, just had a funeral, and the bills keep coming so, I'm selling a few things that I normally would not sell. Since I have to sell these books, I'd rather someone here got them than total strangers on eBay. So here are the rules: -first in the thread first wins, although I'm open to reasonable offers via pm. -No HoS or probation list buyers. -Shipping via USPS Priority is $11 for up to 8 books and without insurance for the continental U.S. I'll get a quote for anything outside of this. -Payment via PayPal -All other usual rules apply -My kudos thread can be found here: Thanks for looking.
  2. After selling some books to Jayman, I found there was no kudos thread and that just seemed wrong given what a great guy he is to work with. So, I'm officially starting one! I sold a couple of nice Warren mags to Jay and he's a pleasure to deal with. Highly recommended!
  3. Agreed, I love your copies of a lot of the Curtis mags!
  4. If the price was right and you knew you could make money on it, I'm thinking you might... you just might.
  5. In response to the question posted by the OP, my thoughts are as follows: -if you're going to comment about another dealers stock, you had best be certain and factual in anything you say. To make such a statement when you have a hunch is a shaky move and likely to make a lot of people angry. Rightfully so. -If you do have a hunch but are not sure about restoration, I wouldn't say anything in front of or to customers but rather wait for an opportunity and discretely share it with the dealer as heads up so he doesn't sell a book with undisclosed restoration and nobody wants to be that guy. -If you are certain of work done and can recognize obvious and identifiable signs of restoration, then I think you have an obligation to say something to everyone there and share your knowledge of such things. When I set up at shows, if I had a high dollar book and somebody correctly pointed out restoration, I wouldn't be upset with them, I'd be upset that I didn't recognize it myself and possibly disappointed in whoever sold it to me as unrestored. But I wouldn't be upset with the guy educating me. Those are my thoughts.
  6. FWIW, I've bought from Anthony on several occasions and he's a great guy to work with. It is an odd listing. My guess is that someone found a huge chunk of these in a warehouse in New Jersey and called him. Similar thing happened to Chuck Rozanski. Ironically, a few of the books are actually highly sought after in high grade. I suppose he looked at the crazy scale of the purchase and just said "$3 a piece?" Anyway, I'm not justifying the listing. Just saying Anthony's a pretty decent guy to do business with in my experience.
  7. It's interesting going through this thread and seeing the incredibly broad representation by the board members of virtually all publishers and time periods from the collection... except for the Timelys. If only we could get John Verzyl to scan his books and post them! Still, great books from all who've posted!!
  8. Thank you, Edgar, for saving this beautiful copy of my favorite Mary Marvel cover! Wish I had been able to buy more of the Church books before Metropolis yanked them off their website.
  9. Looks like all that's left is Eerie 47, 48, and 49. I have them priced at a total of $80 but if someone wants all 3, they can have them for $70. Thanks to all the buyers and lookers!
  10. Vampirella 6, 8 Creepy 16 and Eerie 3 are all yours per PM. Great buy, JimN!
  11. I'm selling some Vampirellas, Creepys and Eeries in this thread.
  12. That's it for now. Thanks for looking and feel free to PM with any questions or offers.
  13. Eerie 49, 8.5-9.0. Solid copy of an Eerie from the tough part of the run. Nice yellow cover with bright colors and gloss. $30 Sold!
  14. Eerie 48, 8.0-8.5. Very tough black cover but I've always liked the werewolf sneaking up on the little girl. Great colors and gloss. $25 Sold!
  15. Eerie 47, 8.5 (or better depending on how you grade the bindery tear). Very glossy and bright. $25 Sold!
  16. Eerie 27, Former CGC 9.2 OW/W. Very cool cover from Jeff Jones and Vaughn Bode! A great copy with sweet eye appeal and luster. $40 Sold!
  17. Eerie 3, 8.5-9.0. Another awesome Frazetta cover and more difficult than others to find in high grade. Art and stories inside this book are awesome and include amazing work by Steve Ditko, Alex Toth and Gene Colan. I love this black & white work from these guys. $60 Sold!
  18. Creepy 17, 7.5. Another great Frazetta cover which I've always felt was the precursor to the his Death Dealer. This is a very bright and glossy copy that would grade higher if not for a very small tear at the top of the book. Back cover is nice and white! Asking what I have into it- $35 Sold!
