  1. I've been using those post-its for years and never had a problem. Even had them catch on a book once and they don't leave adhesive or take material off of the comics. Highly recommend!
  2. And last but not least, a pretty copy of Zatanna 15, very tough and increasingly harder to find black cover of an Adam Hughes classic. 9.2-9.4 but would grade much higher with a pressing. $50 SOLD!! Edit: the scratch at the bottom is a scanner artifact and not on the book.
  3. Gotham City Sirens Lot 9, 13, 15, 18. Avg. 9.4 All cool covers! $20 for the lot. With discount- $15!
  4. Gotham City Sirens Lot 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. Avg. 9.4-9.6 Great set of classic Guillem March covers showcasing Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy. $70 for the lot- With discount- $52! SOLD!!
  5. Gotham City Sirens 1 NM 9.4. Just a beautiful copy, nice, tight and square. Slight NCBC keeps from grading higher. Pressing would produce very high grade. $70 with discount- $52!!
  6. Set of 3 books: NYX 3 (First X-23), 4, and 5. All are perfect 9.6 or better copies that are fresh and unpressed as I've owned them since they came out. $700 buys all 3. With discount- $525 SOLD!!

  8. My perspective, as a kid that started reading and collecting comics in the 1976-1977 range- nobody cared or knew who Wolverine was until 1980-1981 at which point he was just a part of the unbridled success of "the New X-men". Yes, fans talked about how cool he was then but they also couldn't get enough of John Byrne in general or any of the X-men related material (x-overs, etc.). It was some time around 1982-1983 that the run up on Hulk 180 and 181 started in earnest. Before that, you could still find them pretty cheap in back issues. After that, they were "wall books" or kept in the glass case. Anyway, that's just my recollection. Believe it or not, I had friends at that time that didn't even like Wolverine as a character. To them, he was rude, dangerous, unpredictable and oddly aggressive. To them, he wasn't really hero material. Different time.

  12. In the interest of making room, I'm going to offer all remaining books in this thread for 40% off! Great opportunity to pick up these for cheap prices.
  13. It already started in the gold/silver/bronze forum. A lot of action in that thread!
  14. So I'm curious, do you have the whole Raboy run of Master? If so, any chance of a group shot?
  15. This is a great looking copy and I always loved this cover. Great work freeing this gem, amigo!
  16. I think you should run the thread, Ken. These are very cool and I recall you having several Leyendecker covers that are pretty sweet!
  17. I'd post this in the golden age forum. Scrooge or BB-gun there will probably know. It's clearly a coverless copy of something.
  18. This is exactly my impression of the illusion of scarcity in the marketplace. So many more books sell outside of the major auction houses than through them including highly desirable books like Punch 12 or Suspense 3. Even with the number of books sold through Heritage (many of which are the same book relisted), if you were to only look at their archive, you would have a very narrow perspective of actual availability. But it's easy to believe otherwise when there are so few sources of information about the comic market that are accessible on the internet (strange to say, I know, but true).
  19. Lol! I never saw that but it doesn't surprise me. Fishler's been at this for awhile... i would have loved to find a Terrific 5 at that time!
  20. All books that have been paid for are packed and going in the mail tomorrow. I'll post an update of what's left in this thread shortly.
