  1. I have another half dozen books to list and I'll do those tomorrow. Thanks to all for looking! Feel free to PM with any questions or reasonable offers.
  2. Weird Vol. 2 No. 2, April 1967, 9.4, Incredibly rare book in this condition considering it's 50 years old and the paper they used was very cheap. I've never seen a better copy and I've been looking at these for a very long time. Colors and gloss are bright and fresh. If TATs weren't what they are, I'd get this certified before selling. The census shows a single 9.8, single 9.4, and a single 9.2 with only 7 copies graded total. $280 Sold to eyersman @60% off
  3. Vampirella 12 (French), 7.5. The spine on this book is pristine, the black cover is nearly perfect except for visible wear on the top right and some non-color breaking impressions on the front. This cover was originally used in the US for Vampirella 27. Another issue you don't see very often. $50 Sold to JRBaxter
  4. Vampirella 11 (French), 8.5. This is a very pretty copy with just a small amount of general wear. Very tough to find these French Vampirellas in better condition. This cover was originally used in the US for Vampirella 24. $90
  5. Vampirella 10 (French), 7.0. Very fresh book with just a little bit of dirt on the bottom of the cover and a little wear to the top of the spine. This cover was originally used for Vampirella 21 in the US. $40 Sold to JRBaxter
  6. Vampirella 9 (French), 7.5. Very fresh book with some sort of wear at the top of the spine (sort of visible in scan). One of the reasons I love this book is that it was originally used in the US for Eerie 35. Something about that art with Vampirella logo is pretty cool. $60 Sold to JRBaxter
  7. Vampirella 6 (French), 4.0. Would grade Fine (due to general wear) but for the small piece out of the back cover. Classic Frazetta cover originally used in the US for Vampirella 11. For some reason, this issue doesn't show up that often. $60 Sold to Dr. Balls
  8. For those that aren't familiar with these French books, this series started in 1970 and is arguably the earliest export of Vampirella outside of the US. Eventually, many countries would follow but it pretty much began with the French. These issues have hard cardstock covers with a textured surface and high quality paper.
  9. Vampirella 5 (French), 7.5. Solid copy with some minor soiling to the back cover. Same cover art from Vampirella 16 by Sanjulian. $65 Sold to JRBaxter
  10. Vampirella 3 (French), 7.0. Nice looking copy with some sort of schmutz on the cover (visible in scan at bottom of logo). Otherwise solid and tight with white pages. These French copies are pretty tough in grade. And this cover is the classic Frazetta cover used from Vampirella 5 in the US. $70
  11. Heavy Metal January, April, December 1983 (Group lot), Avg. 8.5-9.0. All solid books with minor soiling on the front of a couple of these tough white covers. Otherwise, high grade books with a couple of cool Chris Achilleos covers. $45 Sold to Jonathan78 @ 60% off
  12. Vampirella 100, 8.5. A really pretty book that has some sort of non-color breaking vertical impressions on the front cover (could be production, not visible in scan and not easily visible in hand) and has a tiny mark near the spine where it looks like somebody tapped a pen (not color touch, just a stray pen mark that's very small). $95 Withdrawn
  13. Eerie 63, 9.6+. Full Gloss, looks like a brand new magazine. Tough black covers make these books very challenging in very high grade and it doesn't get much higher than this copy. $140 Sold per PM
  14. Eerie 59, 8.5. Full gloss on a very tough black cover but there's some very light crease on the top of the book and the bottom staple has worn the cover (common to some of these Warrens). $35
  15. I'm going to list the last books for this round tonight after 9:00 p.m. CST. Mostly Warrens, French Vampirellas, and a few other misc. mags.
  16. This really doesn't seem so complicated to me. Perhaps an additional component to listings requirements is to set an expectation for replying to PMs. Something like: "I work a full-time job during the week and have family obligations. As such, I try to reply to PMs everyday but I don't live on these boards so it may take me up to 4 or 5 days to respond to messages." If you don't like that time frame or you need more attention than that, don't purchase from the thread. Simple. People should probably keep in mind that if they keep making it harder and harder to sell on the boards, fewer people will do so. And that's fewer opportunities to find books that you're looking for. The previous sales thread was a mountain out of a molehill. So far, everyone has gotten their books as ordered in a very fast time frame. Yes, I like people to reply as soon as possible to my messages. But I don't freak out and assume the worst of them if it takes a few days for them to do so. Frankly, this thread is asking for a solution without a problem. Perhaps somebody can explain to me how the existing system failed.
  17. I probably should've listed dates for these. The Real Men is from November 1959.
  18. I was happy to add these two when Jerry Weist's library was auctioned off. He was a wonderful man that I first met as a kid visiting Million Year Picnic (that place was a wonderland to a kid that didn't get to go to comic book stores very often). Later, I purchased many books from him when he was selling off consignments for other people and he was an absolute joy to talk to on the phone and via email. Having these two books sort of keeps his memory for me. A. E. van Vogt H. G. Wells
  19. Did somebody say "hardcovers"? Here are a few I've been fortunate to add to my library. Canaveral Press I've always liked the seldom seen Frazetta covers on the Flashing Swords anthologies
  20. Let's resume 20% off on anything left in the thread up to this post. If you're interested in 3 or more books, make it 25%.
  21. I'm happy for the successes, pal. Disappointed at the rest. You've got a pretty good eye for condition and some of those look unreasonably low. That Hulk 9 is pretty special!
  22. Likewise! The artists for most of these covers are luminaries in the illustration art community- George Gross, Mel Crair, Walter Popp, Vic Prezio, Rudy Nappi, et al.
