  1. Yes, Real War is the other one. I don't think there's another, just those 2. @lbcolefan, have you seen any others?
  2. That seems like the perfect solution. Heck, I'd sell the Hulk 181 as well and get the best copy of FF 5 possible. Hulk 181 is as common as it gets, in pretty much any grade. But a nice FF 5, that's very desirable.
  3. Also, good to see you have your windows in. We have a project that's just breaking ground and the windows are now projected to be 39 weeks for delivery!
  4. That's pretty big stuff. We've been using a lot of Italian porcelain tile lately because it presents well, is rectified (so you can do pencil thin grout lines), comes in large formats and is relatively inexpensive. I love the large format tile but it can be a little susceptible to movement, particularly if you have to notch it around a corner or something. I usually try to match the grout to the tile as close as possible to further minimize it.
  5. When the gyp. bd. goes up, you're about half way there.
  6. @Flex Mentallo @lbcolefan I think the most I've paid is in the $200-250 range as well. And that was for one of the more classic covers. About a year ago, there was someone listing a whole bunch of the big titles (Man's Story, New Man, Men Today, etc.) and they got some pretty good money per issue (as in $400-$700), particularly the issues from the 70s which had really small print runs (as I understand it). Here's what I picked up at Windy City a month ago. As I've mentioned before, I really like Adventure because it's style evolution and it's interiors. And True Adventures has some nice covers of women being nurturing to men This is one of the very uncommon science-fiction covers of the genre And this is a great cover by Vic Prezio with a strong Nazi theme Last, who doesn't love the immortal George Gross? This is a tough book for the run.
  7. Oh man... maybe? There are days when I think about it.
  8. There's still time to purchase this copy here on the boards!
  9. This is pretty awesome! I'm just glad to have a nice copy of the first printing.
  10. Those are duck homage prints that Don Rosa made over the last 20 years.
  11. Hi Denny, I think I know the answer but would rather you get it directly from CGC to make sure it's right. I would post this question in this forum and they'll get you an accurate answer. https://boards.cgccomics.com/forum/23-ask-cgc/ Best of luck with your books.
  12. Very nice, thanks, DZ! Also, I like your avatar very much, he was one of the greats. I met his son last year and he's an impressive young man.
  13. That's a great copy, Tupenny, presents really well for the grade. Hoping someone finds a place for it in their collection!
  14. Yeah, this is a bummer. It seems like we're losing these guys on a regular basis now. Ken was a great talent with his own signature style that he worked hard to find. My thoughts and condolences go out to his friends and family tonight.
  15. I know photographers that would argue that with you but I'm not here for that. For the average person, I think you're correct.
  16. I wouldn't collect these myself, but they're really no different than a photographer selling prints of their work. And vintage photos do have collectible value (yes, I have purchased some of those). I would think that the same rules would apply.
  17. I'm waiting for fractional ownership of pulps to show up as a thing. Then I'll make my move.
  18. Nice pickup! One of my favorites. I picked up a few down in Chicago that I have to scan and post this weekend.
  19. I recommend the original Warren mags (particularly Frazetta covers). Accept no substitutes!
  20. Beautiful piece, Steve! Congratulations on the pickup, that's a real gem!!
  21. Really cool pickups, sir! I've always liked this alternate cover for X-men 56 but I think they made the right choice with the printed one. Hope you're not getting hit too hard and feeling reasonably okay.
