So I saw Morbius today. An old friend that I hadn't seen in a couple of years wanted to get together and he suggested we see it. I'm not going to mince words in my assessment.
SpoilerAs I said before, I had very low expectations going in and I'm not a fan of Jared Leto. But that's not the worst thing about the movie. It's a terrible story. So badly written, I'm not sure it even qualifies as a story. It's more a sequence of highly stylized events, at least a few of which are directly stolen from other movies (not an homage- copied, in a bad way). Action sequences are so incoherent they make Michael Bay look good. I fell asleep in the theater at least 3 times.
My friend was very excited to see it as he was a big fan of Morbius in comics (incidentally, so am I- ASM 101, 102, etc.). Afterward my pal turned to me and said "That was really, really bad!" My friend is the kind of guy that finds the bright side of everything in life and that was his response.
The movie is garbage and you can't get the 2 hours back. My recommendation: hard pass. It's a truly bad film.

Yes there are certain people who may run people the wrong way or come off as “rude” or “sarcastic” all the time. Also remember that when you read a message, you create the tone. Maybe you guess correct, maybe you don’t. Sometimes a comment isn’t meant to be as bad as it sounds.
But again I’ll go back to the ability to block certain people and avoid seeing their posts. I’ve done it for two people on here and it doesn’t change a think other than occasionally seeing a post they made that I can’t see. Which is probably for the best as I might needlessly reply and get involved in a wasted conversation.
I don't like your attitude.
Or the words you use.

Intro was cool. The rest of the first episode was mediocre. Not sure about that costume, either.
Amen. And I'm a big fan of Oscar Isaac. But his talents felt... under-utilized in this. We'll see if it comes around.

Maybe I'm being naive, but I'd like to think we're all mature enough to set aside our differences for the greater good, which to me involves interacting with other collectors by sharing knowledge and insight.
And as the song goes: "Life is very short and there's no time...for fussing and fighting, my friend..."

I recommend you purchase a very high number of modern variants and also 3rd and 4th printings of modern comics. If you can, try to corner the market on one or two of them, buy as many copies in any condition you can find them in. Also, as many copies of Spider-man #1 from 1990, doesn't matter which ones or what the condition is, buy all that you can get.

I'd never store anything valuable in a PVC holder. Top loaders are bad.

that listing was a best offer accepted.
Apparently it was an auction with a best offer option.

On the bright side, you've got a nice copy of the first appearance of Wolverine.

This feels like a really good deal when you look at what similar has sold for. People must have been sleeping on this one.
Agreed. The seller is probably not loving that sale. But then, that's the risk of auctions- completely dependent on who's looking during that time.

CGC it👍👍
Fortunately, they don't certify hardcovers like that, Foggy. Why have a book that's encased in plastic so you can't read it? Seems wrong to me...

Recent pickup. Tough to find these due to their inherent resistance to search engines. Tougher still to find them in fresh shape but I'm slowly chipping away at them.
