I bought the covers to # 2-3-4 from sparkle city in 1980 before there was color xerox. Wish i still had them.

The cover is whats its all abought and you got 3 we all buy the books for the cover and the number? or ac least i do. Great shot and great books.

We're talking about Mark Wilson, from PGCMint !? The guy who manipulated and ruined countless books ? There are 3 sides to a story Peter. His side, someone else side. then the truth. I new this guy for years he was honest as they get and treated people fair. Yes he restored books but always up front on that. Yes he ruined a lot of books but in the 80s if you had a Superman 1 in good, Had it restored to fine than you got the fine price for the book thats how it was back then. I dont know what else was going on after the 80s but he was honest and fair as far as i saw.

Yes, there was a Rockford Detective #27 and it eventually was graded by CGC as a FN 6.0 blue label. It was never mine though, as it was part of the deal that allowed me to get the collection.I just held it for a week. Yes, there was #27 - #117 (maybe higher), missing only a couple of later issues. Take care mark I really miss the good old times we had back in the day. He was really honest and was smart in knowing what to buy back then, Wish i learned more from him.

Isn't the Rockford Tec 27 in a CBCS case as well? Thats news to me that there is a Tec 27 Rockford ?. Yes, it use to be a CGC 5.5 but was resubmitted to CBCS and is now a 6.0. Think you better do a double check. I have never seen a Rockford Tec 27.

They are 5 hours away from me. I drove the books there so i did not have to mail them.The books were done 30 years ago with little money to spend. I was told they could be redone today with better results so this works great for now I also had the Tec 27 on ebay as restored VG+ with a 20 or 25k reserve. The book went to 17k so i thought getting graded 3rd party cheap and fast would help. No reserve auctions on ebay are a great place to sell Golden age keys to people who are looking to resell them within a week for twice as much. When i did not sell the Tec 27 i wanted to put my 2nd copy of Action 10 for sale but it had brittle insides. I did find a copy of Action 10 coverless for 300 but the guy got my old insides think he rip me off.
