  1. Super easy transaction for a Teen Titans 1 I was selling. I'd be happy to do another transaction with elibowman.
  2. My question about the back issues is, can that be sustained? Is there a small pool of back issue buyers who picked things over and have diminishing value as long-term buyers? Maybe not if you keep back issues stocked? I thought it was interesting where most of the back issues fell in the 2000s.
  3. Thanks! I found mailers cheaper than what I had been paying, even without the coupon.
  4. In fairness, old cases sometimes exhibited these, just not to the extent of the newest ones.
  5. That CGC maintains this forum suggests they're aware of the value, not to mention risk, of having a channel for direct user feedback. In both my professional and personal experience, forums like this attract some of the most diehard, opinionated, and supportive users. Speaking as a games industry professional, our forums provide us real value, not to mention a fun place for those diehards to interact with one another. More than anything, we know what our players do and don't like about our products. It's our burden to not only consume and utilize that feedback, but to respond to it. In my world, nothing chaffs players more than unresponsive, non-communicative developers and designers. On the flip side, nothing pleases players more than developers and designers who engage with the community. Through direct engagement, companies can build extraordinary trust and commitment from customers. Hence the value, and the risk, of a place like this. Wouldn't it be nice if someone just dropped in to say, "We hear you, folks. We'll be back with a proper statement as soon we can."?
  6. Buyer has 1 hour after an auction closes to make that request; then it falls to the seller. I had someone do this recently because, you know, somehow putting his phone in his pocket did these things: clicked submit an offer, made an offer within the appropriate threshold, reviewed the offer, and submitted it.
  7. I have only a single OA piece, the cover art to an Adventure Time variant. I will probably send it to ComicLink, but don't have the original packaging it came to me in. What's a good, safe way to package and ship this? What do some of you do? Thanks in advance for any tips.
  8. RAM wants to poison the well, one of a number of fallacies he repeatedly makes here and elsewhere. If I ever teach a class on informal fallacies again, I've a wealth of examples thanks to him.
  9. A solid #1 from one of The Big Five! Well loved, but secure and hard to find.
  10. @sfcityduck You wrote, "Some folks propose an Atomic Age defined by the use of the Atomic Bomb. This is not even a comic related event." I haven't researched the naming origin of the "Atomic Age," but I guessed that it had more to do with the cultural implications of the atomic bomb and the years following WWII, especially in regards to literature, cinema, sci fi, and the like. Not just atomic paranoia, but the cultural expression of that through creative arts. Is that the case at all? I do see your larger point though, and it makes sense to me. Pegging ages to certain comics, genres, and titles builds its own narrative and isn't representative of the totality. As for collecting purposes, it seems handy, no? An easy way to communicate interest, market books, and so on?
  11. Checkout the Batman The Cult signed by Wrightson. I've added some more goodies as well. https://www.ebay.com/str/heroesasylum
  12. $50 shipped media mail Gerber Photo-Journal Guide to Comics Books: Volumes 1 and 2 • in quite nice shape less the corner ding shown in the images.
  13. Well, someone above posted a response from CGC about QC. Of course, it's a materials issue. QC is just about controlling for the especially bad cases of bad cases. But I see grumbling on other parts of social media, too, including an instance of getting a book back from CGC with a 4" crack on the back. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that QC is just the guy packing boxes all day doing a quick glance as things go in the box.
  14. I bought it to read. I read it. Now someone else can enjoy it. Not sure what I paid for this, but let's try $30 shipped Media Mail to you, unless you want Priority in which case, I'll call it $35.
