Better. I waited too long to address it. The pain got really bad, and I eventually suffered a lot of anxiety and even depression dealing with it. Steroid shots helped a great deal, though I'll need them again before long. I learned not to wait to address things, to keep pestering doctors and asking questions, and to become my own biggest health advocate. I thought that I was headed for surgery myself, but new MRIs showed improvement and that I was ineligible for surgery. That alone caused another bout of depression because the idea of going back to all that pain was really hard to stomach. Like, how bad does it have to get before surgery is an option? So yeah, exercise, anti-inflammatory medicine, and wrestling with insurance to convince them that yes, the shots really were helpful and that's why I need more of them.
Best wishes to you.
