  1. I got a nice Lone Ranger #76 for my LR run. Only 133 issues to go! Good transaction all around.
  2. To me, it looked like someone was cribbing camera shots from a Batman movie: i.e., bats swirling upwards in a funnel.
  3. I don't know that that's new. They've always had narrow faces, gaunt figures, and the like. That said, I do see the appeal of packing on some muscles.
  4. But...he looks so very troubled. Those eyes, how they brood!
  5. That's one reason I quit with the low dollar books on ebay. It consumed a lot of time for little return. What I wanted was people buying more than one comic. What I got was people buying one or two comics. Just not worth it. I took the rest to my LCS, gave him a good deal, and now I seldom sale. When I do, it's generally to cover other purchases. So yeah, that game wasn't for me.
  6. Thanks! I thought about asking you what you use after getting those Atoms from you. Good price on those.
  7. I used the larger ones when I was selling a lot of low dollar books on eBay. The larger ones give a margin of error for the corners to take some blunting, which is the only wear I’ve seen on these after being mailed. I never had any comics damaged, but I got one complaint lodged in a positive feedback. His comic was fine, the mailer was fine, he just groused about the mailer. I added the cost into s/h charges and used a kitchen scale to weigh packages. For books over $10, I used Gemini mailers.
  8. Blacksploitation martial arts movies were a thing then. Maybe a movie adaptation?
  9. How are things looking for people? Both selling and buying, to me the bids look weak out of the gate.
  10. How many pages of messages do you have, and how old is the oldest? I don’t have this error, but I keep mine pretty clean because I’m a bit compulsive about it.
  11. I don't skip it. I do go through it last though. I've put in one serious bid and some tracker bids in the other sections. I've yet to go through assorted but I will. It's a good place to find lower grade examples of books I might want but am unwilling (or unable) to afford in higher grade.
  12. Chronic pain takes a heavy toll. Relief will be bliss.
  13. Usually, I’d be your huckleberry for a Raboy CM, Jr., but I think I’m now already into my March comic budget.
  14. Better. I waited too long to address it. The pain got really bad, and I eventually suffered a lot of anxiety and even depression dealing with it. Steroid shots helped a great deal, though I'll need them again before long. I learned not to wait to address things, to keep pestering doctors and asking questions, and to become my own biggest health advocate. I thought that I was headed for surgery myself, but new MRIs showed improvement and that I was ineligible for surgery. That alone caused another bout of depression because the idea of going back to all that pain was really hard to stomach. Like, how bad does it have to get before surgery is an option? So yeah, exercise, anti-inflammatory medicine, and wrestling with insurance to convince them that yes, the shots really were helpful and that's why I need more of them. Best wishes to you.
  15. I was in dire shape last year with a similar issue. It ain't no joke.
  16. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Lower back pain can be downright debilitating--glad you're getting it treated.
  17. Moldoff: Check it out, M.C. Gaines: Great, great. But that chair's kinda dull. Got anything for it? Moldoff: Mmm, cats? Gaines: Cats? Moldoff: Uhh, gargoyle cats? Gaines: Sure, do that.
  18. You were already in old man mode! "These kids and their new-fangled comics!"
