  1. Yeah, I've even put things on my watchlist, gotten an offer when I couldn't take it, dropped the comic from my watchlist, and added it back and gotten the same (or better) offer. Some sellers really like that feature, and I've picked up some nice deals that way on occasion.
  2. Check out the Great Escape locations. That's really about the best you're gonna do. They won't have anything to blow you away, but chances are that you'll find something to pick up.
  3. I can see the rule of 25 applying. Millions and millions of kids and young adults saw and loved those movies and shows. They also know the toys, the video games, and all the other merch. They get older, they have cash to spare, and the idea of having the first Black Panther appearance is suddenly very appealing.
  4. I'm organizing today, so here's a pic of several with the boards jutting up a bit.
  5. That's normal. If they didn't do that, the plastic would crunch at the edges when folded over, which could become splits.
  6. I will be on the lookout for bargains in the next ComicLink auction. But hey, so might others. But man, I sure would love to have access to ComicLink sales data over the years.
  7. Got it today! Check out early, pay by phone, straight to the front of the shipping queue.
  8. I re-read Ronin last year. Even now, I still get that same sense of otherworldliness from it just as I did when I first read it as a young teen.
  9. I read an article about this. 'Susceptible' isn't the best word choice though. Here's an article. https://www.statnews.com/2020/03/03/who-is-getting-sick-and-how-sick-a-breakdown-of-coronavirus-risk-by-demographic-factors/
  10. On Twitter, creators are announcing their own withdrawals from cons. Dark Horse is also out, along with another publisher. I expect ECCC will either cancel or postpone.
  11. By extension, those users are being served more ads, right? More time online, more ad impressions, more ad revenue. What advertisers are willing to pay per impression could change, though.
  12. Thoughts on stocks? Stocks on rocks. Folks with pox And stocks that flop. Look, sir. Look, sir. Books that flop, sir. Let's do deals with books in bags, sir. Let's do deals with books in slabs, sir.
  13. I gotta say, I love voldy slabs. Anecdotally, they do seem to go for less and I paid the second lowest price over 12 months, according to gocollect. It's also why you have to wait for more money from me @lizards2
  14. It could be in your box with one simple emoji.
  15. It's worth the read. It's part analysis of comics developing as an art form, part memoir of his own development and history as a comic writer, part paean to himself, part exploration of the creative act, and no small accounting of sustained drug use and efforts to reach altered states of consciousness.
  16. I've been finishing Grant Morrison's Super Gods. I had no idea he was so out there. So my stack of comics to read has been growing. On Deck are Desert Eagle and Star Wars Adventures: Tales from Vader's Castle. I read one of the latter with my 6 year old and it was actually entertaining, so I'm looking forward to the rest. I had bought them for the Francavilla covers, nice to find the content is enjoyable, too.
