For the most part comic gods are on my side but my luck this month with The Nam has been average. I missed the eBay sale of the #52 in 9.8 by about ten minutes in between checks. Kind of kicking myself for this, it's going to be tough one to track down. My CGC submission for a #52 second print only came back a 9.6. Even though it is the highest grade on the census I’m still a bit disappointed. It was definitely a shoot. It had, IMHO a 50/50 chance. Hopefully I will have better luck with the #55 I sent in. Rant over….

Sorry it took so long @Parabellum, finally the complete set graded (w/variants), and I’ve finally found the time to update the montage…4 more upgrades to go for the series(62,82,90,96) in CGC 9.8 💀
Bro….! That is awesome! You got that #50 newsstand in 9.8!!!

@FlyingDonutsaid it best, “Talk to your tax guy”.
I am not in the comic business for profit but I am an independent contractor (1099) with an LLC. I deal with payroll, quarterly taxes, yearly estimated tax, expense reports, etc.
#1. If you don’t have an accountant I suggest you get one and consult them. Especially if you plan on selling a significant amount or any high dollar books.
#2. Document everything, I mean EVERYTHING! Bags, boards, grading/pressing, insurance, price paid, shipping, etc. If you haven’t been doing so I suggest you do. It might take you months to catch up but it will be worth it in the end when you decide to liquidate or sell off that big key. When dealing with taxes you need to have your “ducks in a row”. If the IRS comes for you they will attempt to get what they believe is owed to them right, wrong or indifferent.

You can get him to do a commission. He does Aliens stuff all the time. That guy is a machine and puts out tons of stuff all the time.
Hmmmmm….I think I might need to send an email in the near future. Thanks for the info @wombat!!!

Not to come out of left field, but is there any hope for 2nd print TMNT #2? even in 9.8?
I like that the First issue gets all the attention, but again with albedo as well, after the 1st appearance of the main characters the turtles, it kind of dwindles. No love for April? Mousers and etc?
I don’t see why not? It’s still a magazine sized issue which appeals to TMNT collectors like myself. On the other side #2 second print is more of a book for completists not the person who collects major keys across various titles. Just my opinion of course.

@F For FakeI jumped on CAF to check out the Aliens art. Some of the OA those people own is incredible! The cover to Aliens #2 vol 2 is gorgeous. I would love to own some Den Beauvis OA. I bet you could that stuff at pretty fair prices back in the day. Imagine owning all four covers to the 1989 series…..?
