  1. Check eBay. If you're a weekend speculator you are selling for more than joe blow. You wonder how they are selling at a loss, but they aren't. Hmm...
  2. Wow, hopefully they don't ruin history like that.
  3. What's the agreement? Poster said they were being upfront with everything. There are buying agreements made between retailers. Not saying it's happening here, but being transparent was offered.
  4. "They" are buying them based on a couple of factors. "Rarity" is relative. I can go on eBay right now and buy a lot of books that are more "rare" than any store variant. They are not worth anything because there is no demand. And thus there is adequate supply. This is an application to comic books, but is the basis for the world economy.

  8. Apparently that's on a need to know basis and, well you know the rest. https://www.cgccomics.com/boards/forum/28-strike-records-and-name-changes/
  9. The damaged books were sold at cons. Print run doesn't matter in any scenario. Supply and demand is all that matters. How do you know they are printed after the direct issues?
  10. Live the range of books and quality!
  11. It wasn't Bulletproofs first rodeo ordering that many comics. From what I understand and have seen in videos that's not uncommon with Diamond wether it's one book or you shop shipment of mixed comics for the week.
  12. Yes, I said that regarding "going back for replacements". But once again, that's not what he said. So, you're saying DC bought the Dell Otto back from them for this giveaway?
  13. How many of the 3,000 did DC buy for this giveaway? They probably didn't just ask the printer to print extras of all the variants and send them to them.
  14. "No extras at the printer." You have "inside knowledge" and don't even know how the process works.
  15. Come on, he's directly disagreeing with what you said. What do you do with the extras at the printer?
  16. Agreed, that's the best explanation I have seen for this scenario. But that's not what the poster is saying.
  17. Right, you're name always gets brought up with all the best names on here. You have a website and I'm sure a lot of repeat buyers because of that. But if you setup at my local con, I'm buying from the local guy who will give me a discount because I'm a repeat buyer. Your model works for you and about 3% of the other dealers across the country.
  18. Some are on the way to the store for some now.
