  1. I've never seen them advertised like this to the buying public.
  2. 2nd App........HAHAHAHA  divad likes omitting qualifiers. It is her 2nd Appearance... in regular DC continuity. Thought this one has been know for a couple years now. You guys just don't read the entire listing . . . nothing was omitted. I was referring to it being her second appearance was known for years.

  4. Wouldn't that be the first indication of it going for more? I want to get in on some of this action
  5. I sold two copies of #1 for $25 & $26 last year. It was even hotter about a year and a half ago or so. If you have some NM for $5 I will buy all you have. The only thing I can compare it to is probably like the KB Toys variant of Ultimate Spider-Man #1. It's still the same book released around the same time, but it's too early to determine if the Six Flags copy will have value. Heck, the actual newsstand copy may never get any value. The Six Flags is the hardest to find in high grade. It definitely holds value over the others and is not equivalent to Kay Bee Toys Ultimate SM because people were not walking around an amusement park for hours with that copy. More recently they did this with the Batman #1 WB Studios tour edition.
  6. Ordered some books from me, paid up!
  7. From my experience, Campbell variants/covers hold their value well. Eh, not within the past two years. I think that is only because he is drawing a TON of covers a year. Covers on main titles with popular characters hold there value. Just look at some of the books discussed in this thread and the premium they demand. The fact that JSC is churning out variant covers is not helping with resell value. Last book to hold and increase value is what? Guardians of the galaxy 4 and inhuman #1? Those are $250 + books in 9.8. those were released a couple of years ago. Yup

  9. Interesting, had not heard about it. Is there a way to tell if there is more than one printing? It can still be had on discount trade sites. Not sure this will see too much spec. wise though. I think it would have to be a pretty good movie and the gn looked more at like a book. Vince Vaughn isn't really known for superb movies, anymore at least.
  10. It hasn't even been released yet. Sure to be a flood this week.
  11. Another nice feature and definitely a couple I didn't expect to see on the list!
  12. This doesn't come up very often either. Surprised how little it went for. Amazing Spider-Man #568 Negative DF Variant Wish someone would have mentioned this guy...wait someone did. Deadpool vs. X-Force #1 JSC Variant
  13. Attention Click-N-Ship Customers: Regional Rate Boxes A and B were inadvertently removed during our last update. We?re working to put them back as soon as possible. Please watch this space for updates.
  14. Showcase 96 #3 was released in 1996, whereas Black Canary/Oracle: Birds of Prey #1 was released in 1995; ergo, it's the first appearance. I have always thought it was the Black Canary / Oracle book as well, but where did you get 1995 from? The wikia states it's their 1st appearance and was released June 1996. Showcase '96 #3 was released in March of '96, but the wikia states it only have Lois Lane and Black Canary, not Oracle. Once again, wikis are not a reliable source of information. If you want reliable sources, try places like here or here (68 & 97 are relevant). EDIT: Here, too. This doesn't really tell me anything that I haven't already stated. Cover of Showcase #3 states March. Of course that doesn't mean when that's when it came out. Also, one grading company labels Showcase as the first and CGC does not label the one-shot with any 1st appearance.

  16. I get that they are "hard to find' but I don't really understand why given that Venom has a big fanbase. In terms of most valuable we know the following: 1. ASM 678 2. Uncanny Xforce #20 After those two, what is next? I haven't followed the sales of the other covers. Per Lonzillas link, reorganized by price. Hulk, then probably Iron Man, but that one doesn't come up very often. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&LH_Sold=1&_sacat=0&LH_Complete=1&rmvSB=true&_nkw=venom+1%3A50+variant+-superior+-inhumans&_sop=16
  17. Misquoting you? no, wrong. I haven't changed anything you wrote. If I'm misunderstanding you, then please enlighten me. I wouldn't want to Kav up the thread with misinformation. You're not looking at it the same way I was. I'm not talking a direct correlation between Avengers movie and a comic book (which comic btw, there are about 10+ Avengers titles at any given time?). What I saying about movies AND TV, is that it's cool to read comics now / again and that brings more people into stores and shows. Also, cosplay is a big thing now and that brings more people to shows, who may or may not buy some comics. Spider-Man has definitely lost some readership because of how it has been handled over the past 5-10 years, while companies like Image have grown in terms of titles from the way they have done things.
  18. Looks like 156,000 to me, from comics that I personally wouldn't even bother reading. The only character(s) that really approach that on an annual basis is Batman and many would agree that the story arcs and artwork have been great. You really don't understand the numbers? That's three different comics there... that add up to one Batman comic. And the numbers are no different than they where BEFORE the movie, so.... There's.... no... sign... that.... it increased sales...? Right? You get that? And there are plenty of comics that put up better numbers than those three. 22 other comics more than the All New All Different Avengers, 37 other comics more than the Uncanny Avengers, and 66 other comics more than the New Avengers. Most of which didn't have two of the top 10 biggest domestic movies in the history of cinema to promote them. And it may look to you like, those are good numbers... but I can assure you, through factual understanding of the way publisher's work... that Marvel is HIGHLY disappointed in those numbers, for where those books are at in their numerical state. I never once said that the Avengers movie created a demand for Avengers comics. Yet another person that has misquoted me.
  19. If you think it's "vastly overpriced" and will only get worse, why would you sell now?
