  1. Yea, there are a bunch of factors that can contribute to an auction not doing well comparatively. Pictures/scans, grade (sometimes listing the grade helps, sometimes not listing a grade and letting people determine on their own is better), do you have other things for sale (if I want to buy something I often look at what I can "bundle" to defer shipping costs over multiple books), how much are you charging for shipping and what service are you using, how much feedback do you have, bidding wars, etc...
  2. What do you mean? List as an auction compared to a BIN?
  3. I thougt ASM #361 (2nd print) was hot too, but I just sold 361-363 plus another spider-man in nm for a grand total of $9.99 plus shipping on ebay. Ebay basically sucks. I did sell a Hellblazer #1 NM- for $23.50 though. Just because you list a book it doesn't mean it will sell for the going average. A lot of other things come into play like what else the seller has for sale and multiple bidders (bidding war).
  4. I picked up a nice lot of modern popular comics at a great price, great packing as well. Thanks Paperheart!
  5. Let's start a thread to hopefully sell some more goodies to everyone. I have over 500 positive feedback on eBay.
  6. I don't have any either, but if I did I would sell them to you for $5. See how easy that is?
  7. I would put my money on this Superior Spider-man Campbell variant. I picked it up for 20.00 That's modern, not copper, and I bet in a couple of weeks when nobody cares anymore about it, you'll be hard pressed to get your twenty bucks back. Jim Jim, you have a couple I can take off your hands?
  8. I still need to grab a slabbed 9.8 #1 before that happens! Not a creator owned title, but Green Arrow #17 is a nice book as well.
  9. I sold a set last week for a pretty nice profit For about $75?
  10. True, I should probably go hang out at my local shop and see what people are buying. Feel free to add you own insights, not just comment on what others have posted. wasn't this a Chris Rocks Pooty Tang reference? Thankfully I can say I have not seen that one. Probably the only Rock movie I haven't, ha.
  11. Feel free to add you own insights, not just comment on what others have posted. No, I keep all my finds a secret Good idea, then I can't raid the comic shop you go to.

  13. Yawn, why are there light highlights on the red parts if his costume? It makes it look plastic. I know almost everyone doesn't like Ramos, but I do. Fixed Ha, thanks. I forgot Joe C has told us that there are no collectors under 30 anymore.
  14. Yawn, why are there light highlights on the red parts if his costume? It makes it look plastic. I know most old timers don't like Ramos, but I do.
  15. ...but there wasn't a demand and what benefit does a company have by not selling their product? The producer makes no money on resale.
  16. That is an insane price for the #3 variant. Went for $120, less than half asking.
  17. Right, its eBay, I don't know anybody I buy from. I don't message people, but if I get books that are not packaged well I assume they are not collectors, meaning they probably don't know they need to use care. It can be informative at the least.
  18. please don't buy any books from me on ebay. pirate2323 thanks some sellers gets aggravated when buyers tell them their business about how to pack books. ...but the customer is the one who is putting money in your pocket. I have had more than a few books show up bent with no cardboard protection. So don't take it personal if you get a message like that from someone you have not dealt with before.
  19. i just sold a nicer one on the boards for $8 and it was my third try at that price Thanks BTW (thumbs u
  20. So then, you shouldn't be posting here until December 2014?
  21. True, usually if I join a chat forum I spend the first year reading all the threads on the board. Then, after that year, I feel I am entitled to respond. I don't know if he's trolling every thread, but he definitely has no couth, as was exemplified by his first comment on this thread.
  22. In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people,[1] by posting inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a forum, chat room, or blog), either accidentally[3][4] or with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[5] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.
  23. Only thing that matters is that it's tiny for ASM. Well, obviously the demand has to be there. It will be. It some cases, it already is. ASM 29 sells for between $10-$20. Guess I will have to add it to the list then, thanks!
