  1. Feel free to add you own insights, not just comment on what others have posted.
  2. Yawn, why are there light highlights on the red parts if his costume? It makes it look plastic. I know almost everyone doesn't like Ramos, but I do. Fixed Ha, thanks. I forgot Joe C has told us that there are no collectors under 30 anymore.
  3. Yawn, why are there light highlights on the red parts if his costume? It makes it look plastic. I know most old timers don't like Ramos, but I do.
  4. ...but there wasn't a demand and what benefit does a company have by not selling their product? The producer makes no money on resale.
  5. That is an insane price for the #3 variant. Went for $120, less than half asking.
  6. Right, its eBay, I don't know anybody I buy from. I don't message people, but if I get books that are not packaged well I assume they are not collectors, meaning they probably don't know they need to use care. It can be informative at the least.
  7. please don't buy any books from me on ebay. pirate2323 thanks some sellers gets aggravated when buyers tell them their business about how to pack books. ...but the customer is the one who is putting money in your pocket. I have had more than a few books show up bent with no cardboard protection. So don't take it personal if you get a message like that from someone you have not dealt with before.
  8. i just sold a nicer one on the boards for $8 and it was my third try at that price Thanks BTW (thumbs u
  9. So then, you shouldn't be posting here until December 2014?
  10. True, usually if I join a chat forum I spend the first year reading all the threads on the board. Then, after that year, I feel I am entitled to respond. I don't know if he's trolling every thread, but he definitely has no couth, as was exemplified by his first comment on this thread.
  11. In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by starting arguments or upsetting people,[1] by posting inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community (such as a forum, chat room, or blog), either accidentally[3][4] or with the deliberate intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[5] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.
  12. Only thing that matters is that it's tiny for ASM. Well, obviously the demand has to be there. It will be. It some cases, it already is. ASM 29 sells for between $10-$20. Guess I will have to add it to the list then, thanks!
  13. Exactly - if you wanted to show off a freakshow book, no need to create a new thread for it. In 36,587 post have you ever posted anything where you were not a complete d-bag?
  14. Only thing that matters is that it's tiny for ASM. Well, obviously the demand has to be there.
  15. Like I said, 50k is small for ASM, but not small in comic world.
  16. Why is that? Super low print runs. I've posted the numbers a few times. Can't find them now. Check out ComiChron. Pretty crazy. #17 54k, yes, low for ASM, but still more than a book like Preacher #1. It was still 14th on the list that month too. Maybe in 10 years there will be a demand by completionists. I would rather spend the money on 30-35, more Campbell covers.
  17. I bought a huge collection over the weekend that had tons of Copper material, including lots of later printings/reprints. I already pulled a Hulk 377 (3rd), and a few more books that looked like they were reprints that I was unfamiliar with. Pardon the dumb question, but what title is SMF short for? SMF = So Much Fun Oh yea http://stlcomics.com/gallery/somuchfun/
  18. those have been getting those prices for quite awhile now, but one i never see mentioned much is asm 601. that book is starting to sell over 30 pretty regularly now too, but it never gets as much attention as all the black cat covers for some reason. it is reaching iconic cover status imo, and only getting more popular, you see tons of cosplayers recreating that cover now. Yes, 606 & -07 have been hot for a while. I have been grabbing any 50-52 / 490-92 & 601 I can find as well. They are all J. Scott Campbell covers which is part of the appeal. 611 w/Deadpool and 640 Women of Marvel Variant are good ones too. This book has been hot. I consider captain Britain #8 to be her first appearance though. Copper books. NM Annual #2 is the 1st US printed appearance and Britain #8 is hard to find and usually out of the price range of modest collectors.
  19. Probably makes more sense than a lot of other books he wasn't directly involved with. I mean, a book that kills off his creations, pretty interesting to me.
  20. I think these books will continue to climb I have several I am still holding. Funny thing I can find all of these issues except issue 2 for some reason that issue is pretty tough to find when I look to make the sets. I think Alpha Flight # 17 is getting most of the attention right now. old news its all about the gay alpha flight second print, holla ...this is a post I can get behind!!
