  1. Most are skipping over 360. That is still pretty easy to find for $1-2.
  2. There was thread where someone asked what book(s) would be overlooked with all they hype on ASM #1 this week.
  3. That day has long sailed. On eBay sure, but not at local shops. Its like MoS 18, due to its release date there is a perceived overabundance of the book which leads to a long list of shop owners failing to recognize the prices it currently commands. Not to mention that again due to when it was released this is the type of book that routinely finds itself tossed in back issue bins at places like Half Price Books and other used book stores. I don't find MOS 17-18 or ASM 361 regularly at shops. I do find one here and there, but it's about 1 in 6 shops/ stands. Last ASM 361 I paid $8 for, but they also had a Thor 337 and Uncanny 221 for $5 each, so they weren't picked through.
  4. Not sure why you are recommending this book but I fixed it for you despite your reason! First Gen 13, and I agree, the Gold Variant is the one you want.
  5. That's correct. Are you going to go through all that to make $100?
  6. Just in case people are wondering, Transmetropolitan 23 is the first appearance of 100 Bullets. As far as I can tell Fables had no preview. Preacher #51 has a 100 Bullets as well, released same month. Now which was first
  7. I'm totally holding my 2 copies till after this show starts. I see only upswing happening if this show is as good as the first novel was. Wish I had picked up more seeing as the cover price for #1 was only $1. I'm sitting on mine as well. Unfortunately my LCS had bagged and boarded his #1's so I had to pay $1.29 for my two. Of course, that was a few months ago so........... Your shop charges $0.29 for a bag and board?
  8. I don't know that they will make a new Ghostbusters since Ramis passed.
  9. Really? from the couple of pages I have seen, I like it.
  10. Who said he was black? looks like a brown bear to me.
  11. There was somebody selling one on here a few months back. Less than $10 I think. Guide: $5 NM

  14. What's the reasoning? What happens if the don't, Archie Mafia comes? (I think that's who publishes that, right?) Edit: there are also 2 variants
  15. What's so special about this one compared to the series released last year? This looks awesome btw:
  16. I can't tell if this is supposed to be a humorous post or if it is just one of those nitpicking comments that bogs down a thread, At any rate yes while those Saturday morning cartoons from the 80s and 90s were rarely explicitly violent, violence was still a central theme of the shows. Studios do the same thing with movies these days, for the amount of death and destruction in movies like the Avengers and X-Men very rarely does the viewer actually see blood or gore. Nobody is going to care that Rocket Raccoon is out there blasting away aliens and monsters. This is America, sex and nudity is taboo here, not violence. I'm pretty sure kids these days are issued a copy of the latest Call of Duty game on their sixth birthday. Speaking of sex and getting back on topic, some of the more risque Hughes covers from Catwoman volume 3 are also sought after. Everyone knows of 51 of course, but issues 45 and 74 are also popular. A one sentence comment that "bogs down a thread" and your response is 4 paragraphs?
  17. 2-5 sell every day: http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=amazing+spider+man+365&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc
  18. That's a relative term. Some peoples deals are anothers trash.
  19. For the record, there have been a few tragedies involving kids between the time most of us were kids and today. It would be nice to act like they didn't happen, but sadly they did. I don't have kids of my own yet, but I do know that blame for a good bit of these was placed on media & parenting. That was why I am questioning the validity of a speculation as such. Now, back to the reminiscing...
