  1. Only thing that matters is that it's tiny for ASM. Well, obviously the demand has to be there.
  2. Like I said, 50k is small for ASM, but not small in comic world.
  3. Why is that? Super low print runs. I've posted the numbers a few times. Can't find them now. Check out ComiChron. Pretty crazy. #17 54k, yes, low for ASM, but still more than a book like Preacher #1. It was still 14th on the list that month too. Maybe in 10 years there will be a demand by completionists. I would rather spend the money on 30-35, more Campbell covers.
  4. I bought a huge collection over the weekend that had tons of Copper material, including lots of later printings/reprints. I already pulled a Hulk 377 (3rd), and a few more books that looked like they were reprints that I was unfamiliar with. Pardon the dumb question, but what title is SMF short for? SMF = So Much Fun Oh yea http://stlcomics.com/gallery/somuchfun/
  5. those have been getting those prices for quite awhile now, but one i never see mentioned much is asm 601. that book is starting to sell over 30 pretty regularly now too, but it never gets as much attention as all the black cat covers for some reason. it is reaching iconic cover status imo, and only getting more popular, you see tons of cosplayers recreating that cover now. Yes, 606 & -07 have been hot for a while. I have been grabbing any 50-52 / 490-92 & 601 I can find as well. They are all J. Scott Campbell covers which is part of the appeal. 611 w/Deadpool and 640 Women of Marvel Variant are good ones too. This book has been hot. I consider captain Britain #8 to be her first appearance though. Copper books. NM Annual #2 is the 1st US printed appearance and Britain #8 is hard to find and usually out of the price range of modest collectors.
  6. Probably makes more sense than a lot of other books he wasn't directly involved with. I mean, a book that kills off his creations, pretty interesting to me.
  7. I think these books will continue to climb I have several I am still holding. Funny thing I can find all of these issues except issue 2 for some reason that issue is pretty tough to find when I look to make the sets. I think Alpha Flight # 17 is getting most of the attention right now. old news its all about the gay alpha flight second print, holla ...this is a post I can get behind!!
  8. Very interesting price for the Deadpool Kills the MU set considering: These issues seem to be fine to very fine although I am NOT a professional grader. No, I find the entire series quite frequently on Lyria Exchange under Moderns with the filter "Comics to Watch" Deadpool kills the entire Universe #1-4 NM @ $26 & 17 bids. That was in the sellers description and it sold for $70 is what the OP was pointing out.
  9. Very interesting price for the Deadpool Kills the MU set considering: These issues seem to be fine to very fine although I am NOT a professional grader. Wow, honestly, for books like that you are better off not putting a grade in the title because some people don't read the descriptions. Yea, lots around $25-30 http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=sunfire+big+hero&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc
  10. You need to be thinking "what's the next Saga". TWD phenom only comes around so often when the comic gods are aligned. I wouldn't say rare, just less printed. Plenty to be had. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=Superman+Man+Of+Steel+%2318+5th+Print&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc
  11. So these 4 must have came out weekly. #1 was over 30k print, others slightly under. Then the TPB came out the next month.
  12. Manifest Destiny catching fire. I bought 1 & 2 two weeks ago for $18. Going for $20-50 now depending on if the #1 variant is included. Lots of variation though. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_sacat=0&_from=R40&_nkw=manifest+destiny+1+2&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc Also, another series I'm not familiar with, Deadpool Kills Marvel Universe just went for $70 http://www.ebay.com/itm/231169035095?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  13. Yea, I thought that is what you were looking at. There are lots of people that like Harley, of course. The thing that kills me is the shipping. They are paying $11 for a cover price book. Sometimes I think the people that are buying these just don't have any shops close or their shop only ordered a couple and it's easier to pay a premium to have it show up on your doorstep.
  14. Is this good or bad? Shops still have these on their shelves.
  15. Had no idea Thanos Imperative was going for so much, $41 with the one-shots. http://www.ebay.com/itm/281276073538?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
  16. Sure crazyman, you just let me know when you find any verifiable FACTS 100% linking the CGC Forums to the rapid price jump in a given issue. We do have the Hulk 377 3rd print as an example, with a price run up after discussion here. Your challenge, and what qualifies as facts, is pretty nebulous, though. Observation of timing and correlations is probably the best you'll get. Perhaps you'll offer some "FACTS" to refute the Hulk 377 price escalation, though. A few people got into a bidding war...
  17. Guardians #25 is the last issue in that series, also Thanos cover. Harley #1 has been up in the $30-50 range for a while.
  18. I can't really say on the value. It's got hype, but maybe only short term.
  19. Link? ....I'm not finding it. Found it: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Black-Hole-4-Very-Rare-High-Grade-Whitman-Pre-Pack-Only-1980-CGC-9-6-NM-/310880961744?pt=US_Comic_Books&hash=item4861f304d0 I must grade low. Those corners look awful for a 9.6 +1, how is that a 9.6? I have an 8.5 with better corners than that.
  20. Conversely, we can't all go to a TV show forum and talk about comic books. Or can we? I'll allow it...
