The 60's storyline was passable at best but the 70's wedding stuff was outright bizarre. The topper was the wedding cover where the priest says
" with this ring I thee WEB!?"
Some should be tied to the whipping post for that zinger.
Aunt may in a wedding gown looked like a Gong show guest gone bad.

The year I was born...........and a great year for comics........ ........My ASM #26 is dated 4/13 on the cover,4 days after I was born, love that book... I think FF#40 came out on my birthday too,no wonder I'm a Marvel zombie....Good Luck. 39 is one of my fave issues and the first FF I ever personally laid eyes on in 1965. -
I've been trying to find a nice #39 for a while now,the only ones I'm seeing are 7.5 and below.....I need an 8.5 or 9.0,it's all about the grade flow with me .Problem is,I paint myself into a corner waiting for an 8.5 or 9.0 to show up.If anyone has an 8.5 or 9.0 for sale,pm me please....BTW.... You can't have a nice copy of issue #40 without getting one of issue #39. They go together. -
Thanks all........

Here's my FF's,grades range from 5.0 - 9.0,working on a mid to high grade set 1-50...

Great book, one of my grails too, hope a mid grade pops up some day........congratulations,awesome pickupI finally scored a copy of this long term grail, an ebay BIN from Terry's Comics. It has a couple of hidden flaws, otherwise it would have been way out of my price range. As it was it blew my comics budget for a while. A piece of archival tape at the staple on the inside cover, and a couple of H2O spots on the back cover. On the plus side, excellent gloss and OW/W pages.Congratulations! Tough book to come by.
