  1. To get back OT here's the Madhouse trio from Red Circle! Gray Marrow covers on all.
  2. Yep! A lot of the time it's the "cheapies" that are the toughest to find cause there's no demand...yet.
  3. Could it be because it was a crossover genre, War/Horror? Maybe no one knew how to classify it and it simply fell through the cracks. I was drawn to it as a horror title myself having WEIRD being the first and prominent word in the title! Still one of my favorites along with HOM, HOS, WMT, WH, Unexpected & Ghosts.
  4. OK, heres two: Not typically Bronze Horror but nice examples IMHO. Picked for the artists, first up Stalker with art by Wood & Ditko! Second: A nice Wrightson Cover!
  5. Hate to hear someone selling their collection in this type of situation but as you said "priorities". I hope the help you're giving your mum is for financial and not health related (hope she's OK). Here's to hoping it all works out for ya and that you can keep some of your more prized books! Jayman
  6. One of my faves, I think it's the misty background that does it for me. If you were ever out far from shore in a little boat fishing when the fog rolls in you would know what I mean!
  7. Would any of them be for sale? I'm looking for a VF+ NM WH # 7.
  8. Very intriguing cover here, it took a second look to see the POWs holding needle and thread. I definitely want to know what they intend to do!
  9. Got a 9.2 from Doug Sullipa on the way! I just got his order this week--awesome books, high gloss--simply superb! I'm on his mailing list too and got that e-mail list that you were griping about some books already being "snatched up". When I received it there were too many goodies to choose from so I decided to wait, now I'm sure it's been picked clean.
  10. Beautiful books rahigh, art, grade & QP That Weird War # 15 is simply stunning I MUST now seek a copy out for myself!
  11. Jeeze Greggy you must be all scanned out! Love that cover to ish # 149 Classic Cover IMHO!
  12. Thanks silverandbronze and povertyrow for the info. While my collection is in very good shape, I do have close to 10,000 books and there are older books mixed in with newer. The thought that there might be one culprit in the mix that could contaminate the surrounding books was a concern to me.
  13. Question: If a certain comic in your collection does have this "vinegary" smell should it be quarentined from other books even if bagged and boarded? Just wondering if this affliction could spread to other books in a long box. Thanks Povertyrow, now I'm off to sniff the bouquet of my collection...not that that's a bad thing.
  14. Great cover! This is one that gave me a nightmare as a kid! Nice grouping Greggy! Redhook love those Ditko Charltons! This is the best thread in the Bronze section DEFINITLY!
  15. Povertyrow: Glad you like the "Chilling Adventures", when I was a kid my older sister read the Archies and Harveys while I read the monster/horror books - D.C. and Marvel! But these 2 issues crossed over from Archie into horror so I had to have them. These issues are upgrades BTW.
  16. The first 2 issues of Chilling Adventures in Sorcery that used Archie characters. "As told by Sabrina"
  17. The first 2 issues of Chilling Adventures in Sorcery that used Archie characters. "As told by Sabrina" Oops, sorry for double post
  18. One of my all time fav covers plus it was "my first" so's I'm kinda emotionally attached to it also Usually green & red don't go together but this cover is the exception!
  19. Looks like a hole in my collection that needs to be filled! I had that book in my Ghosts collection for years before I came across its listing in the OPG as DC Special series #7. Now it lives in my DC Misc. long box!
