  1. I wondered that myself but there are other covers in the run where the title logo obscures part of the art. I'm personally leaning towards oversight.
  2. Just curious as to whether it was an oversight in production or an atempt at a logo style change. Either way it stuck out like a sore thumb while I was browsing the covers on your site Shiver! BTW: Those little army men in the logo make the "Weird War Tales" one of the coolest BH logo titles ever. I always liked the guy draped over the "R" the best!
  3. I certainly do... snip Interestingly for what it's worth, this issue is the only one not to have those "little army men" in the word WEIRD in the logo. Just something I noticed.
  4. The Cal McDonald Mysteries/Criminal Macabre books were great! I also really liked the Cal McDonald one shot: "Love Me Tenderloin"!
  5. Sterling, are these scans of books that are to be auctioned? That is a sweet Unexpected # 129! I've always had bad luck finding a decent copy of that issue.
  6. This issue has one of my fav Marvel sword and sorcery stories in it! The colors in that dragon/dinosaur still blow me away!
  7. Whoo-Hoo! Ask and ye shall receive! Way to go Sterling on those Weird Wonder Tales! I remember as a kid thinking that Druid was going to be the next Dr. Strange! Unfortunatly I am away from my comics and there is one cover that I would love to post. I believe it is in the Crypt of Shadows run and shows you looking from the point of view from behind a skeleton's face at a terrified guy and gal. Nice books also to shiver & greggy!
  8. awe4one, that is a great book! I cut my teeth on these books as they were my first intro into the horror/monster genre. DC books came quickly after and took over, but some of those Marvels had pretty scary stories also. They also introduced and continued the tales of some great characters such as Man Thing, WWBN, The Living Mummy, Man Wolf & Morbius. Perhaps it is time for some Marvel BH to represent! Does anyone remember Doctor Druid?!?
  9. Happy B-Day Sterling! In whatever time/twilight zone.
  10. Aww man, thats a toughie! I don't often take my books out as much to view some of these great covers and tend to forget some of these beauties. That is why this thread is one of THE best in this forum, not only do I get to see my faves, but also ones I never noticed before. HOS 93, 97, 100, 103, 105. Love WH 4, 5 & 13! The cover of Forbidden Tales Of DM # 7. As you said, it is hard to choose from so many!
  11. # 304 I love this cover (don't know why exactly) but I think it's that crazy funhouse.
  12. Nice books rahigh! The yellow hair on that girl against that purple/pink background has always made issue 201 one of my fav covers!
  13. Thanks, I picked up a HOM lot recently and the 290 was the star of the bunch! Just a little discoloration above the 0 in 50 cent mark.
  14. Here's a couple of I...Vampire House O' Mystery issues # 290 Kubert
  15. That is a cool cover! There are nice covers artwise, then there are nice covers that pique your interest about the subject matter or story. This being one of those, I need to know why they are praying to that dead astronaut!
  16. Yeah, you can see they changed it from # 95, someone on staff probably said it took up too much real estate on the cover and had it redrawn a bit smaller.
