  1. Guy in the rags is Karnak from the Inhumans after he comes back from the dead with the reboot. Betting he's going to remember the old universe since he was dead during the merging of the universes.
  2. That's what a welder, a piece of pipe, some steel plate & spray paint is for...
  3. I'd LOVE it, if it wasn't like a 6 hour drive away.
  4. Looks like Citizen V from the Thunderbolts. I remember Thunderbolts from the 90s, but Citizen V Actually Baron Zemo in disguise (like the whole team was villains in disguise). He was the leader of the original Thunderbolts team.
  5. This situation (and others before) actually makes me wonder: am I weird/abnormal that I don't even start looking for a book or consider buying anything unless I have the cash sitting in front of me ready to be paid out immediately?
  6. I wouldn't hold my breath on anyone in the feds caring enough to do anything about it even if a complaint was made to them.
  7. But will the average audience buy into a Red Hulk? I mean, there are plenty of comic enthusiasts (myself included) who think the idea of multi-colored Hulks is ... well, dumb. Does Marvel want to take their chances that the general public finds the idea silly as well? I'm not seeing it. They should do a Hulk in every color. Green Hulk hulks up when he's angry, Pink Hulk when he's in love, Yellow Hulk when he's afraid, Purple Hulk when he's puzzled, Blue Hulk when he's sad, etc. Just like those colored lanterns. What's the pizza-craving Hulk color? Cause that would be the one that I would most identify with. Look, I don't care what color he is. I just want General Ross-Hulk to have a mustache in Hulk form... because come on.. that would be great.
  8. Yes. William Hurt is definitely showing up in Civil War. And yes, he's played General Ross and in the comics, General Ross eventually becomes the Red Hulk. But whether that happens in the movies or not remains to be seen. I think it's more of a "we want a Hulk for this movie and the green one isn't available after Avengers 2" thing than anything
  9. Just finished Harlan Coben - The Stranger. Pretty good. I was definitely shocked by the ending. Next is a re-read of Ready Player One. It's just a damn good book.
  10. I still see her as her characters from Veronica Mars and Don't Trust The B in Apartment 23 (which was surprisingly hilarious)
  11. I don't think it's likely that TAT will get significantly better. They're still getting more and more business. The TAT is obviously not adversely affecting their revenue or order numbers, so what's the incentive to speed up TAT or invest more capital in employees or equipment to accelerate something that, business-wise, isn't a problem to their revenue stream or driving customers away? If it starts hitting their bottom line by losing customers to the competition or just driving people away from grading/pressing or slabbing in general, that's when you'll see the kind of improvements on TAT to win back customers or prevent additional losses. Granted, one could certainly argue they they're limiting themselves & the current TAT hinders their growth & that they'd see even greater increases in customer base & revenue if they improved their TAT back to the advertised TAT, but that's not really something you could easily or reliably prove. It's pure conjecture. And on the business side? That's all that matters for when attempting to justify those kinds of significant capital investments of additional employees, space, or equipment/machines necessary to speed up TAT.
  12. Well, one of the roomies is moving out & obviously taking her contributions to the nerd room we have here, so it looks like I need to go out & do some shopping for some replacement pieces to hang in place of her stuff.
  13. Did you make the drawers or did you buy them? If you made them, any chance you have the plans for them?
  14. Lions Gate had the rights to Punisher & Columbia had Ghost Rider. Both companies simply gave up the rights since both of the Punisher & Ghost Rider movies were financial & critical failures. Essentially they tapped out rather than take another bath on putting out a Punisher or Ghost Rider movie. Both tried some cooperation with Marvel but it didn't translate. Soooo... they gave up & just handed the rights back. There was no payment as far as I know, they just pretty much said "seriously, just take them back" I think with Ghost Rider though, Columbia had a "we'll make X number of movies" type deal rather than a "we keep the rights until Y number of years passes without us using them" deal like Fox & Sony have set up.
  15. The face tattoos bug me too. They're just all far too on-the-nose. It's not as though anyone thinks"oh, if it weren't for that 'Damaged' -script tattoo on your head, Mr. Joker, I'd be thinking you were quite normal"
  16. That's beautiful. I love the way Art Adams did Wolverine. He's right up there with Silvestri & Lee IMO
  17. +1 I actually like some of the Prophet covers he did but his work is sometimes quite unimpressive. It only went up to #5 thru Image/Top Cow, but if you look around online, you can find #6 in cbr or PDF form online. Apparently it was released basically 1/2-finished (only partially colored, I believe?) in Europe somewhere only but I can't seem to find it ANYWHERE in physical format.
  18. I really wish Platt's Soul Saga would have been finished. I enjoyed that in a similar way that I did Battle Chasers from Joe Mad.
  19. Drake is canadian. He's a rapper, in the loosest definition of the word.
  20. I think I just contributed to you slipping in the Spider-Gwen registry the other day. I just sold a set of all 3 Phantom variants in 9.8 on eBay to the guy with the top spot. I just transferred all of the registrations to him yesterday or the day before.
  21. Awesome seller. Picked up a dirt cheap New Mutants 100 slab for my collection from Tracee & was a simple smooth transaction. Great seller.
  22. I didn't see a single $1 box at the last show I was at. Everything was starting at $2.
  23. Entire neighborhood garage sale today. Almost 100 houses participated in a 1/2 square mile & not a single comic in the whole bunch.
  24. If anyone wants to hook a brother up with one of the MGN 4s for relatively cheap for a guy that never realized it was the 1st appearance when finishing his New Mutants collection a few years ago.... I'd be mighty obliged. I doubt it's gonna happen, but hey... can't hurt to ask. Totally missed that one until this madness started & realized "oh , now I'm not getting it".
