  1. beautiful 33!!! and the bin sale of the 1.5 on ebay... just wow.
  2. if it is doable the 2nd print is the obvious choice. i dont believe the 2nd and 3rd print are necessarily the same thing (though in relation to the 1st print i suppose i get what you say) and as time goes on that will be more apparent. good luck.
  3. kudos on completed that supes 1 thats fantastic!
  4. expand my pre robin collection. add another classic chesler cover. pick up an early wonder woman key. maybe try to snag one or two more copies of TMNT #1.
  5. I was going to ask what the hammer was on the SS6. Any copy is a great copy but that thing hammered over $5k?!?! wow. if that is the case this book has seen an incredible ppp rise in 2017.
  6. claw is a super cool character, one the coolest imo. but the book while a #1 and first appearance of such a great character isnt in any sort of desirable grade so resale options would be limited. a stack of low grade, common, silver age doesnt offer much in the way of resale either. at the end of the day its six of one half dozen of the other. do you want a handful of books or one? are you going to read them? looking to keep or sell? things to consider good luck
  7. thanks! yeah punch 9 is straight up badass. the photo does the book some justice but in hand the colors and gloss look like they were printed yesterday. indeed
  8. some beauties in this thread amazing stuff across the board. ill play. only had a handful ga pickups this year but they are pretty nice. here are my favorites...

  10. just checked the 9.4... 7600 eh? well wish i was there to snipe this one. any 9.4 in the 7k-8k range is a buy in my opinion. as those of us that grew up on the turtles get older and more established financially this book in high grade (all grades) is going to go up in value like a V rocket. definitely curious price spreads during this auction cycle. Heritage has a 9.8 in their next big auction. Stoked to see where it hammers.
  11. ultra high grade 9.4 and above with white pages and the original interior sigs are the place to be with this book. the sky is the limit for such copies over the short and long term.
  12. And this, yes. it amazes me people that have fine family portraits, valuable art pieces/prints, autographed photos... you name it and they invest tons of $ into the piece but then use poor quality glass and matte. its a travesty that happens far too often.
  13. this yes, the non-glare acrylic is glorious. i tried it out with a dead poster i have and i can hardly believe how nice it looks.
  14. emerging market tech stocks (alibaba, tencent, jd etc) buddy. and if you must buy funny books throw in a few pre robins, tmnt 1 and af 15
  15. ive felt a movie with spectre and sandman done right could be really badass. maybe some of the other jsa guys too but these two particularly.
  16. And a few lower grade copies between clink and cconnect. I've imagined at some point this book was going to experience a major jump perhaps that's what's happening now. It's the perfect storm of mega key, limited availability and demand. The 9.6 looks nice but it's past the point of overpaying and hoping for a press and resub. being heritage I would imagine the bids are legit.
  17. New addition. Traded my undercopy for another cool book but upgraded to this sweet stack of newsprint:
  18. oh there we go, i just posted in the tmnt 1 thread. the current auction is crazy.
  19. you guys see the current 9.6 in the heritage auction?? not sure what to make of it.
  20. hi end sale on a mega key. great dealings throughout which looks consistent with the folks above. thanks Jerry
  21. ill let the experts chime in on actual value impact but i love, LOVE, books that have detached covers but otherwise present like a midgrade. the fact that its detached doesnt bother me in any way and i feel like i am getting a major discount on a book. case in point...
