  1. I saw this image pop up on one of the Facebook groups I'm in, but I couldn't track it down again after. Does anyone know what it's from? Someone had also mentioned they had seen it in black and white. Does anyone have images of it sans color? I tried to google it, but it turns out it's a very hard thing to quantify in search in terms.
  2. Looking for John Byrne Avenger's West Coast/West Coast Avengers pages. If you got 'em, hit me up! Feel free to respond to the thread or PM me. I’ve seen all the things available under the normal channels like CAF, Comic Art Tracker, Heritage, Comic Link etc. Thank you!
  3. Looking for Lee Weeks Daredevil pages! DOES NOT need to feature Daredevil (although I’m not opposed to pages with him). I’d prefer ones with the Kingpin or really anything that conjures up a serious film noir vibe. Please feel free to respond to the thread of PM me. I’ve seen all the things available by him under the normal channels like CAF, Comic Art Tracker, Heritage, Comic Link etc. Thank you!
  4. The name of the thread says it all. Looking for Olivier Coipel X-Men (Uncanny or Adjectivless) or Uncanny Avengers art. Not so much interested in House of M or AvX, but I will take a look if that's what you have. I've seen what's publicly available through the regular channels, CAF, Comic Art Tracker, Kwan Chang etc. If you have anything you're looking to sell, please feel free to respond here or PM me. Thanks!
  5. Picked up a book I never read or head of (Black Badge) off the racks based on flipping through the art, which is not something I ever do.
  6. Currently looking for Darwyn Cooke – Anything (sketches, prelims, pages, commissions). Also open to anything J-Bone inked over Cooke’s pencils. Looking for this in particular: Please feel free to respond to the thread or PM. I’ve seen all the things available for these artists under the normal channels, CAF, ComicArtTracker, HA, CL, etc. I have some small things I’d be willing to trade or put towards total cost if applicable. Thank you!
  7. Hi guys - I’m looking for a specific page (featured below) from issue #4 of the 1985 Vision & Scarlet Witch maxi series by artist Richard Howell. Does anyone have it? If not, does anyone how to contact Richard Howell? Any info. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  8. I saw that and am watching! Keeping my fingers crossed for a Triumph & Torment page with Doom in costume to pop up someday..
  9. Perhaps I’m a bit biased since I use it daily (setting alerts by artist is really great) but its pretty straight forward. In the search bar, type the artist, character or title you are looking for. If you have an account and are signed in when you search you’ll get back a listing of all the available art based on what you typed in. It’s defaulted to show you newest to the market art first, but you can change it so you see the least expensive art first, most expensive etc. Scroll through and by clicking on the picture will give you a large screen preview of the art, hitting the view/buy button will take you to the website and page it’s being sold from. It’s like searching the classifieds or dealer for sale art at CAF but searching multiple different sites (including CAF) at the same time. I find it very helpful.
  10. Now, if anyone wants to sell me any of their Triumph & Torment, Aliens: Salvation or Wolverine: Jungle Adventure pages, I’ll be right over here....
  11. How the HELL do you get prices from them? I sent them an inquiry about a few pieces using their site's built in web form and didn't hear back for a month or two, then I sent them an e-mail also asking for prices and it's been radio silence for the last few weeks. What gives? Is there another way to reach them that I should be using?
  12. Hi - I am open to trading it (not selling) this inked sketch for another Mignola piece not featuring Hellboy (as counter intuitive as that may seem). In particular I’m looking for an inked sketch that has either Rasputin, a wolf, various creatures or a published page that features architecture. I’d be willing to pay the difference depending on the piece. Please feel free to reply in this thread or private message me. Thanks!
  13. Topic title says it all! Looking for a Silvestri X-Men page from his first run, also interested in art from the original X-Men vs. Avengers miniseries from the 80s. I’ve seen what’s available on the consumer platforms, please feel free to post in this thread or PM me. Thanks!
  14. Thank you for all the replies already, I truly appreciate the insight.
  15. That’s a fair question, the page was listed in the classifieds as for sale but marked as “make an offer”. I reached out to the owner, complimented the piece and asked them what they were looking to get for it and they told me to make them an offer on it.
  16. So I’ve been slowly acquiring art for the last 4 or 5 years but almost always from an art dealer, the artist themselves, auction or via commission. I’ve never been in a “make an offer” situation. I found myself in 2 in the last week that went poorly. My question to the fine folks here is what’s the protocol for this? In both cases I offered something that I thought was fair but on the low end in anticipation of negotiating upwards. Should I be approaching this differently? I was afraid of offering my max amount (I’m dealing with a fixed amount of money I don’t want to stray from) because then I can’t go up from there. The one person on CAF was pretty annoyed and a bit obnoxious with their response to my offer. So to avoid that, how should I be handling this in the future? Thanks!
  17. I did a post like this a few months ago to test the waters. Figured I’d toss it out there again with some new and different things. Currently looking for: Darwyn Cooke – Anything (sketches, prelims, pages, commissions). Also open to anything J-Bone inked over Cooke’s pencils. Looking for this in particular: Mignola – Anything (sketches, pages etc.). Hellboy art does not need to feature or include Hellboy. Also open to pages with landscapes/towns as the focus, his gentleman skeleton drawings etc. Looking for this in particular: Al Williamson – Sketches, prelims, Flash Gordon stuff. Will look at pages, but that’s not my focus. Please feel free to respond to the thread or PM. I’ve seen all the things available for these artists under the normal channels, CAF, ComicArtTracker, HA, CL, etc. I have some small things I’d be willing to trade or put towards total cost if applicable. Thank you!
  18. This is basically exactly what I did. I really just want an idea on prices in general. It’s a shame they have the monopoly on Silvestri X-Men pages. I did reach out the form on their website inquiring on a few prices on Monday and haven’t heard back anything at all...
  19. I’m still seeking a low tier X-Men page from Claremont’s first run. Perhaps, against my better judgement I’m considering reaching out to Cool Lines. How does one go about getting prices from them on their pieces?
  20. I saw! Man..I was refreshing his site every 30 mins the whole day, waiting to pounce. Of course wouldn’t you know it happened when I was driving home from work. But I took a look and it’s awesome that those even exist but I was a little let down. Great prices though... There’s a page from issue #1 that I was hoping to be on there, that I think I might have a shot at because most people I’d wager would find it a bit boring. With that said, do I blow my money elsewhere or keep pining away that Albert has more pages he’s hanging onto? I wonder if whoever earlier in the thread thumbed through his Minutemen pages at SDCC can verify wether what they saw is up for sale right now or if there’s still more. Is that something worth reaching out to Albert about or is that pointless exercise?
  21. Wondering about the Comic Art Con in Hasbrouck, NJ on Sept. 8th. I’m following the event page on Facebook but it has very little actual information. Does anyone know what vendors will be there? My big thing is will there be dealers there who don’t have an online presence? I feel like it may not be worth my time to go all the way up there if it’s the same art available on the internet. Has anybody been in the past?
  22. Hahah, I saw! I just wasn’t sure if that was the price of possibly a previous dealer/owner.
  23. I'm gonna bump this one last time now that It's August and hope for the best.
  24. Great piece! I wager this is from his “new” Cooke Watchmen stuff. As someone who’s been checking Cooke pieces regularly for the last few months I’ve never seen this pop up on Moy’s website. Very cool. If you don’t mind me asking, how much did it cost you?
