  1. Grading/Quality Control: 12/9/19 11 days received to grading, 13 days delivered to grading....not too bad!
  2. They usually process quickly, but kind of sit in SFG limbo for awhile. My standard has been sitting at SFG for about 11 business days (excluding holidays and weekends).
  3. Somehow I missed this. Happen to know where the write up is on this, or when the newest of the new labels will roll out?
  4. Finalized/Imaged/Shipped 11/27/19 Special thanks to FedEx for having a service interruption, not being able to ship my books until December 2nd and slowing down one of the fastest turn around I have seen!
  5. Grading/Quality Control: 11/26/19 Nice, CGC...nice!
  6. Fast Track Modern: Shipped: 11/14/19 Delivered: 11/18/19 Received: 11/20/19 Scheduled for Grading: 11/25/19 Now the Modern has moved! Nice!
  7. Here's another one! Test your skills and I'll post the results! Pics are pre-CPR!
  8. I bought this book off the boards a short time ago and sent it off for some CPR. It's already at CGC and scheduled for grading. Just thought I'd post it here for those of you who like to hone/confirm the 'ole grading skills. I don't have photos after the press, so the posted pics are pre-CPR. Let me know what you think! I'll post the results and some pics when the book arrives! Thanks to all who participate!
  9. Standard: Shipped: 11/14/19 Delivered: 11/18/19 Received: 11/20/19 Scheduled fo Grading: 11/21/19 That was quick! Fastest delivered/recieved/ scheduled movement I've seen in months! I wish it always worked like this! Modern: No Movement....but, I won't complain

  11. Purchased a couple of killer raws from Charlie and couldn't be happier. Fair, accurate grading and quick shipping. Worked with me on payment. Don't hesitate to buy from or sell to this guy!
  12. There are boat loads of knowledge here (sarcastic comments and board fights, too). Tons of good people who will help if you don't "BitCoinSwami" it. 90% of my highest value books have come from the boards from sellers that graciously allow time payments. I've also found quite a few books at good prices to fill holes in my runs.
  13. I especially don't want a picture on the slab! Yuck! The custom labels are are two thumbs down for me! I like the new Ped label. I must confess, I haven't had one in hand yet...
  14. Thanks! I think they were hard on the book. I think CGC is hard on this particular book in general. I have 9.2's that have more going on than this book does. It's a beauty for sure. The scan doesn't do the book any justice...the colors are deep and the whites are white. I'm likely going to pull graders notes and look them over. There isn't much difference in value between an 8.0 and 8.5, so I'm not sure if a resub is worth it. If it had a chance at an 9.0, I'd dive right in. I just got this book back a month ago and I think it has more going on...
  15. Restored books do not qualify for the new lablel. CGC Announces a New Pedigree Label Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) has released a new Pedigree Certification Label. This new black and white label is a way to differentiate exceptional comic book collections known as pedigrees, and will display "CGC Universal Pedigree" in place of "CGC Universal Grade". Only pedigrees that qualify for a Universal grade will receive the new label. These new labels will be applied to books submitted as a CGC recognized pedigree through the online submission form starting on July 12th, and first available for show submissions at San Diego Comic Con on July 17th. A new pedigree is considered when a collection of vintage books in high grade condition is introduced to the collectors market by the original owner. Many pedigree collections were recognized and accepted by the hobby before CGC came into existence. CGC is also excited to add five new collections to the list of recognized pedigrees. This brings the total number to 59 pedigrees, all of which will be featured on the CGC pedigree site page next week These new labels will be applied to books submitted as a CGC recognized pedigree through the online submission form starting on July 12th, and first available for show submissions at San Diego Comic Con on July 17th.
