  1. Cooool Thanks! Hope it happens....
  2. NICE!!! Thanks for the info...... Any thoughts on "why"???
  3. How's the book "picking up again"? Love the book Just curious as to what you are seeing out there.....I haven't been following it...
  4. You ve got to be kidding me. Worth the 4k someone paid for it at MCS. I think they are better off selling as is unrestored. The splash page itself it pretty awesome--much better than a repo cover......conserved my tuchas........sad to see this from CBCS
  5. I stand corrected. I think our one time discussion of where this book "ranks" in the GA hierarchy bleed into my conscience and I totally disregarded the original question.......however, I gotta think top 10
  6. The 9.4 AA 16 has got to be there. I know Rick disagrees but I have yet to speak to anyone else who's opinion I value in the hobby that does not place it in the top 5 due to overall scarcity of the book (in conjunction with being a major DC key of a present named hero)
  7. I give Action 1 an additional bump as well because it contains the origin story. Batman is the only major GA first appearance that I can think of that doesn't contain the origin (despite what CBCS puts on its labels)
  8. I was not a fan of the glued cover from another book as well. That being said this sale at almost 8k and a .5 restored last month (trimmed, wrong back cover) went for over 5k. Fun book to watch get it's due finally. waiting for the day it overtakes some of these other pre robin tec covers.
  9. One of my AF 15's is a CGC .5 with the coupon cut out of the back cover only There was a similar one on the boards that came back cgc 1.0 . Both are really nice copies too. Might resubmit
  10. Personally I think it has to do with NCIS: LA going into it's 6th season
  11. So yeah.....Metropolis has a 1.0 Restored with Brittle Pages for a "Buy It Now" price of $15k.......ummmmm
  12. the 1.5 Restored on CC is up to $6,700 now still with 13 days to go I bought a 1.5 Blue OW-W pages on the Bay 4 years ago for $1,500 (it's been long gone) but that's quite a spike in price
  13. I can only recall 2-3 unrestored Tec 38's for sale in the last 5 years....
  14. These letters are awesome to see and read
  15. I'd guess not much more than it went for on eBay. I'd say it tops out at 10k
  16. I've bought 2 af 15's from him in recent years. I've been happy with his books. Both were candidates for pressing and I received a minimum 1.0 grade bump
  17. Nice to see those pics! Thanks for taking the time to share
  18. That really kind of defeats the purpose of the whole "ask gator " thread granted you didn't start it so I'll cut you some slack.....
  19. Love this casting. Looks like Hal to me! Ryan Reynolds is/will be a great DP. Check him out in an indie film called The Voices (about a serial killer who takes orders from his cat) It's terrific
  20. 12 K for 3.0 ??!!!! Amazing what this book continues to do in 3.0 and below in short periods of time.
  21. I had an Overstreet advisor tell me (also a boardie and his store is well known to this community) that his wife told him that comics are like "crack" to his customers
