I had a similar experience.  Luckily it was not as bad, but I do remember the disbelief follow by rage when I received the packaging tube containing the piece of art.

What made it worst is the replied I received from the sender after voicing how displease I was.

“I don’t understand what the problem is. This is what I’ve always done. Nobody ever complained before you, you are the first one to complain about that"

Really?

Brunner Covers do not come up often. And this one has the damsel in distress.  Fear 16 sold  for $29,000 last year. 

Do they accept PayPal?

I did not know they had a catalogue either.   Not a great amount of items thus far.

Unfortunately I do not have any my scans on me, but I always thought Drew Hayes from Poison Elves was  underappreciated.   Sadly he passed away ten years ago at the young age of 37

Greg Capullo is going to DC...and Stan Lee.  Surprise he did not chose Heroes. Probably his last Con

But Felix and his guys are going to Charlotte...that Trumps it all as for DC.

Recently a board member mentioned Marie Severin as a under-rated  artist, which I completely agree. That woman could draw.  

Not a new piece in my collection, but  just a reminder on how great she was.

I remember hearing that David Finch Ultimatum covers sold for 30k-40k 

BA12 definitely much cooler than NYx 3.   Also just being a sort of prelim pencil cover really doesn't merit the high value. I still have it somewhere under 20k

Middleton's Original Art  pieces are either  Very rough layouts or finished asstight pencils. Or somewhere in between.

I suppose the piece can be seeing as a prelim as it is made for preparation of the final finished published version.  The finished version is created  digitally with Photoshop.
