This article is 10 years old but is the last I heard about CGC and tape, however, I can only go by what is on the web and what is stated on this site.

So is amateur tape still blue label vs. pro Japan paper reinforcement the work of the PLOD devil?

if the Promise books are a quick flip or a non-payment situation. I can’t imagine someone taking this type of bath on these books. So is the original under bidder in the hospital from injuring their back from doing a cartwheel?
Yes, under bidder doing cartwheels. e.g. Capt. America 1 Promise Cgc 3.5 down to $168k, FF 1 Cgc 8.5 down to $117k including the juice. Same copy of FF #1 sold for $240k last June 2022.

He was not with the other dealers he was on the other end of the hall.
He was more a book dealer out of California
I think I remember that dealer. I was almost out of funds by the time I found him at the far end of SDCC hall. Could not believe the nice comics he had in that 1 box. I wanted to buy a raw GA Detective Comics 38 but could only afford a raw All-Star #33 that I still have today.

Fees are reasonable, 2.29% plus $0.09 for in-person sales and 3.49% plus $0.09 for keyed-in sales, you definitely want a reader, I can't speak for Canada or overseas, I'm in the USA.
Payout is within 72 hours and I think it's even faster than that. Love the service.
Starting Sept. 21, 2023, Square for Canada in-person Interac debit fees will change to 0.75% plus 7c/transaction. In-person cr card fee is currently 2.65% plus 30c/transaction. USA fees usually less than in Canada due to higher volume. Pay out is usually in 48 hours. Can get faster pay out to one's Canadian bank account but there is a higher cr card fee.

Tell me more. I use Square currently how are their fees?
but I can definitely try a new reader. Do they give them away for trials?I use Square in Canada. Zettle UK website states lower fee rate than Square which is amazing. Retail sales funds seem to be transferred fast into one's PayPal account then u move funds over into your personal or business acct at your bank/cr union later. Will have to research more, as my PayPal usually has US funds transactions but my home bank acct is in Canada.

Great historic article about National/Detective Comics's year one. Perhaps part 2 mentions All-American Comics Company? Thanks for the link!

re: Void Rivals 1.
I am curious to see how the secondary market works on this one. It looks like the bulk of the supply is with retailers that were in the know, which was only 40 or so.
Thank you to my LCS owner who said we should grab some at FOC if we trusted him. He did not say anything about the big secret even though he was on the call.
I sure hope issue 2 of 'Void Rivals' shows GI Joe meeting Transformers, as I did not get that spec feeling while doing a quick flip thru issue 1.

The crowd was much smaller than the first show of they year, likely only 1/3 of the people. Otherwise, sales were slower than the last show and stuff that has been selling well all year was cold.
Were sales slower because they added the 2nd hall which increased competition by about 50%? Was the crowd less because folks were lining up for Across the Spider-verse, Fast X movies or shopping for Father's Day which is next week?

Sorry, no pics of Terry's vast booths, original comic art or Harley's 5 boxes of the raw Fantast silver, gold collection. Alex Ross litho booth was there again same wall location as last year. Steranko diagonal across from in artist alley.
