  3. Michael Keaton Batmania era.

I remember when the Batman movie came out tec 27 had a higher price tag listed in Overstreet for the first time.

I really think the tec 27 9.2 will crush the action 1 price. Even if Batman is the second most popular superhero tc 27 is the "hipper" book, this tec 27 is a higher grade, and tec 27s have come up on the market much less frequently.

  4. Huge fan. Grew up with them, had all the Aurora kits and all that. But...

They were unique to their time and probably should be left alone. They're really not like Godzilla or Planet of the Apes or other remakes. There's a certain innocence and charm that's not going to translate well with re-imaginings. imho. I put it on par with re-doing The Three Stooges.

Anyway, good luck with that Universal. :wishluck:

Really excited to see the classic monsters brought back and renewed, but you hit the potential downfall right on the head if done wrong. I completely see your point.

  5. so I bought both these books, I have seen a fantastic four book that is a printing error issue but have never seen this one, have had people tell me its a ink issue and a comic shop owner tell me its faded, I want to get it graded whats the deal??

THE BLACK SHEEP I say it is VF ANY GRADING OPINIONS WOULD BE A BIG HELP EVEN IF IT IS FADED COOLEST LOOKING COPY I HAVE EVER SEEN. ANY OPINIONS?

    THE NORM VG

    vhdmi8.jpg

looks like a printing error. The blues and blacks are still very strong (just as strong as the "normal copy"). Looks like is it missing the green, yellow and red tones. if this was faded, wouldn't the black portions be much lighter?

  6. I know many people will disagree but within the next 5-10 years I can see low to mid grade TMNT 1 copies reaching the kind of money low to mid grade AF 15 copies are selling for today. I cant see AF 15 going too much higher in price then it is now in 5-10 years.

  7. you mean you need to know the plot lines, villains appearances. etc...to know which books to speculate? :baiting:

I dont think this show will do anything in terms of value to DD books quite frankly other than issue 1.

I am more interested to know if they have announced actors, premise, etc to know if they are serious about making this thing work and give us a series that will last. And I hope they stay away from Kingpin and Elektra. There is a lot mote to Daredevil then that premise.

  8. Looks like someone scored a Mouse Guard Comixpress. Who might that someone be? That someone just so happens to be me. :luhv:

I have been looking for a copy for a while and didn't expect to find one anytime soon but when I saw the BIN on it I couldn't resist. Someone had placed a bid but since it had a reserve it didn't kill the BIN. What do you guys think of the price? It seems cheap to me but I am not going to argue. Even if it isn't the greatest condition I am just glad to have a copy. I can't wait to get it. I'll share pictures when it arrives. :)

Nice pickup at a great price. These are almost impossible to find.

  9. Have not read the comic but as a fan of zombie movies, really have enjoyed the show. So far season 1 and 2 were better than 3 IMHO.

As much as I like the show, I have to say Kirkman really takes liberty sampling Romero's ideas from the 4 Romero dead movies. Saw the influence of the original trilogy in the first 2 seasons and now the Governor and Woodberry is very reminiscent of Land of the dead(4th installment of the dead series).

Governor equals the Dennis Hopper character who created a safe zone city he controls surrounded by walls and guards. Even the entertainment incorporating zombies and fights was done on Land. The production of the concept may be better in Walking dead but its clearly very similar.

  10. It was an absoulte pleasure purchasing a higher end book from Dan. His communication was great. The turnaround time, packaging and delivery was excellent. Dan went out of his way to make this a very easy and smooth transcation. Based on my experience, I highly recommend buying from him.

  11. I just picked up the Mouse Guard #1 Comixpress, toke forever to find and it might take even longer to find a right size bag n' board lol . Like one day to have it signed sketched & graded :wishluck:
