  1. MOS 3rd print, 4th print, and 5th print were the most expensive and most difficult for me to get. 1st and 2nd print were going for pretty much the same price and plenty of them available. MOS #17 (first appearance/cameo of Doomsday) 1st print was another easy get. 2nd print was a bit more difficult to find but not impossible. ***Talking specifically about CGC 9.8 only
  2. Don't know if I should be in awe or be repulsed However, I am definitely jealous (thumbs u
  3. No. You really can see the lack of critical tools nowadays people suffer, being unable to judge what a good artist is. Not a "pleasant" artist, a good artist. A single example: Frank Quitely. No. Eye of the beholder...opinions. Too many "older" folks don't give enough credit to some of the newer talented artists (and vice versa). It goes both ways.
  4. Or you could have just listed the entire Image founding crew . Alex Ross??? Does anybody mention Alex Ross?!?!?! He doesn't get enough love.
  5. Moby . I never finished it when I was in High School so just decided to try again. Now I remember why I didn't finish it. It is a brutally difficult book to read.
  6. Yea, I agree DeadPool is definitely Marvels newest earner, I just wish they would cool off with how much they use. When they give him his own limited series every other month it seems, and their being a Dead Pool variant cover for every series, I think people will get a lot more tired of him much faster then they regularly would of. All the books and limited series with the various artists/writers makes Deadpool hard to follow. I tried to explain it to a person who doesn't follow comics and they just don't understand the concept of Deadpool. Wolverine - badass ('nuff said) Deadpool - Insane merc with a mouth who kills everything in the Marvel universe and talks to the reader (not so easy to wrap your head around)
  7. just looking at the face...30 can't judge age on fashion
  8. I'd re-quote every artwork that I found jaw dropping but that would pretty much be the whole thread. Some really cool stuff with varied styles. Truly inspiring. We should have an art contest on this forum! Get a one page -script and lets see how individuals would draw it.
  9. I have not received an email/notification with tracking number on my last 4 or 5 subs. However, if you contact them when the status indicates shipped they will provide the information. Can you name any other businesses where the customer is expected to request tracking info, and not have it provided automatically? Before you answer, also think about the dollar values for these shipments that lack provided tracking info. Thanks for the insight...thought I was missing something. Yeah, for the amount of dollar value I expect a "We Received Your Package" and a "We Are Shipping Your Package" email with tracking number.
  10. This might have been asked previously but I can't read through 400+ pages. Does CGC send you an email/notification with tracking number once they ship your items back to you?
  11. I got the VIP access badge... I use to have ASM #300 in my collection but an unfortunate accident happened and the issue was destroyed. So to finally be "complete" again is a wonderful feeling. There are truly great people on this forum... (thumbs u
  12. My only regret is not having access to a scanner to properly display this issue online. This is 1 of 2 Captain America issue that is a "must have" for me. It is absolutely gorgeous. Thanks to the gentleman who helped me add this to my collection...sincerely.
  13. That's Superman. Seriously, nice work, Anthony! -slym Actually made me bust out laughing Thanks for all the kind words everyone. Hopefully one day I can get a 10 page submission done and send it in...just to see if I can. One of those childhood goals.
  14. Pencil... Inked... Page 1 of 5 (need to redo panel 1 and 2 because I wasn't happy with it)... Old lady...
  15. Free!!! Heck, I can afford that.... I'll definitely give it a nibble:-) Thanks for the insight.
  16. Anybody care to tell me why Chew is so good? The art isn't that impressive. Cool story? Looking to get into a new series and this seems to be pretty popular.
  17. Does this qualify as "Silver"? 1970 is right on the edge of the comic age. A book that I've been hunting down for quite a while now and finally got a great price on it. Absolutely love this piece.
  18. A regular copy is about $100 to $120 right now. Recent newstand copies were selling between $150 and $200. ***CGC 9.8 condition first print
  19. Are you gonna try to get any newsies? I already passed up two newstand editions in a sales thread a week ago...which I really regret right now. So just gonna focus on reprints...landed a 3rd and 4th print of #18 in 9.8 this week. So I'm getting there!!! .
  20. Working on getting the reprints of these right now in CGC 9.8 condition. It's not as easy as I thought it would be... Until then, here are my first prints...
  21. That's one top twenty list that needs a good editor It's like the Maxim Top 100 Hottest Female list...all are gorgeous. Only difference between #1 and #100 is preference.
