  1. Please, oh please, let this movie be good. For all the anime fans out there, we're hoping this is our "Iron Man". If this is successful we could see other anime and manga movies come out in the future...Akira, Robotech, etc.
  2. Pacific Rim (Part 1) was a hit??? Godzilla better show up in this new movie...
  3. That's still quality toilet paper Totally agree. It should be cover price but even that isn't without flaws in the concept. Just leave minimum value off.
  4. I'll be officially worried after I see the movie and only if I don't like it. Until then...noise.
  5. It would be worse if we lost Ryan Reynolds and kept Tim Miller. So there's that. ***Cup half full perspective
  6. Finally, real proof that Deadpool was a huge hit!!! I'm still hoping for Kiera Knightley. That would be ironically awesome.
  7. That one part made me bust out laughing. Can't wait to see the entire movie. I really hope they don't give away too much with all the trailers. ***I enjoy a good tease:-)
  8. There is no correlation between the numbers and rarity. They don't have anything to do with each other. That people use them because they "sound" impressive doesn't make it so. There are 1:100 books that are ultra common, and there are 1:10s that are pretty rare. You're right if you're comparing books that aren't the same (ie. a 1:25 Spiderman vs 1:25 Avengers...or whatever). However, if the books are the "same" there is a correlation to rarity. Take for example Old Man Logan #66 Turner Variant. There are two of them...the color version (1:50) and the sketch version (1:100). The sketch version is more rare no matter how you do the math. You buy 100 comics you'll get two color version and one sketch version...and so on... ***Rare is subject to interpretation (in this case I'm just saying there are less sketch versions) I think the point RMA is trying to make (now or any of the dozen other times) is that one of those is only rarer than the other if you are certain of how many were created in the first place. If you print 50 of each, and then give all of one to retailers, and only half of the other, that does not make them more rare, it just makes one of them more immediately available. It is a fair point that printing to order on these makes no sense. If you give exactly 854 of a 1:100 variant to stores, printing 854 is ridiculous, for many reasons. Damages, over run, contracted minimum print jobs, whatever. So the argument is that without knowing how much of something actually exists in the first place, it is difficult to place a premium on its perceived rarity. Which is true, without a doubt. I'm going to borrow this from manetteska... ***Informative thread.

  10. As long as there's a correlation between the numbers (1:25, 1:50, etc.) and rarity they'll always be sought after.
  11. I hope he becomes available as a DLC character in the Mortal Kombat XII video game.
  12. How is that a Todd McFarlane cover? I literally thought it was a mistake and went looking for the real cover. Looks like (and I'm a huge McFarlane fan). 1:1000??? C'mon man. Do a better cover than that.
  13. Really? What other ways can you get that kind of exposure without much cost? YouTube trailers gets millions of views. It's inexpensive. Plus from recent trends, trailers/marketing hasn't been a problem with movies. It's the movies living up to the marketing hype. I personally think this is a great idea.
  14. Not that Ryan Lochte is a prince, but there's a huge difference between destruction of property then lying about it and conspiring to assault and possibly cripple a person. Or it could have just been a comparison that they were both Olympic scandals. ***Don't read too much into my comment. Wasn't meant to be mind blowing.
  15. I don't know if you're being serious or not but... ...some movies should never have a remake. When I saw the trailer for this movie I already said "nope". I honestly hope it is successful but it's just not for me. I'll stick to the old school.
  16. none with any integrity Popular does not equal good. see: every Transformers movie +1 ***Except the animated one...that's an all time great movie
  17. Now all we need is an X-Factor movie so the X-Tinction Agenda can get created!
  18. This thread should never be buried. Here are two in the collection that I've been wanting to show off. Posted in the Spider-man 1 UPC thread and thought I might as well get this up while I have the collection out. Amazing Spider-man 300 SSx3: One of the most difficult for me to hunt down. I have another copy with Todd McFarlane and Stan Lee but it felt incomplete without David Michelinie. When I finally found this book with all 3 signatures it was more of a relief than happiness (thought I would never find one). Amazing Spider-man 300 UPC: I posted in the WTB section on this forum and a fellow member came through. One of the best issue I've ever seen. Nicely centered, the "300" background is perfectly aligned to the edge, and the corners are sharp. The forum member I bought this from is also one of the nicest person I've gotten a chance to do business with. One of best pieces in my collection.
  19. One of my favorite club! But if you're in this club I think it's mandatory to gain entry into the other club also ***One of the greatest and most iconic cover ever
  20. I think it would be awesome if they get Keira Knightley to play Domino (or somehow get her to cameo in the movie). But whoever they pick for Cable and Domino I'm not going to question. Two movies that deserve the benefit of the doubt...Deadpool and GOTG.
  21. I'm hoping they are showing the 'evil transition' version and that there will be a more trickster version where most kids would run to him for a balloon or laughs. Good point. Ok, I'm back to loving this movie and everything about it
  22. Love Stephen King books (It, Dark Tower series, The Stand...) so I'm definitely going to see this movie. But this updated version of the clown is very not sitting well with me. They intentionally tried to make this clown look evil. The original clown was approachable. That's what made it so scary (when the kids realize the "oh F" moment). No kid is going to walk up to this new clown and talk to him. ***Beep beep
