Since this is dominantly a comic book forum...
...there is no reason why this book should be selling for more than $1K and being listed for a buy now at +$2K in CGC 9.8. Not a popular character, Dakota Johnson (while I have nothing against her) isn't the best casting ever, and this might not even be the correct Madame Web.
My guess is that this book will start dropping quick from the initial overreaction and Secret Wars #6 will start ticking up.
***Secret Wars #6 is the first appearance of Julia Carpenter

Has anybody seen "The 355"? Every time I saw the commercial for it I cringed. While posting this thread it took me a while to find the movie because I forgot the name and was Googling "The 455".
Anybody know if it is in the running to be a part of this thread?
***I'm in no rush to see it

I'm just making the point that scenery is irrelevant-story is why people watch movies. otherwise they can just watch travelogues. As far as I know no travelogue has ever won an Oscar Meyer Weiner.
If reviewer says 'the scenery is gorgeous'-then there's usually not much story-theyre trying to find something good to say about a movie.March Of The Penguins!!! March Of The Penguins man!!!
Free Solo!!!
***I like watching BBC Earth channel

When I hear 'gorgeous scenery' in a movie review for me anyway thats code for dumb movie. People do not watch movies to view gorgeous scenery.
I do.
The Revenant...gorgeous scenery.
March Of The Penguins...gorgeous scenery.
***No code in my comment...I made it pretty clear so no need to read into something that isn't there

It's a good movie. I like that the plot twist was never spoiled for me (depending on your definition of plot twist). Gorgeous looking scenes. Not the perfect movie but definitely one I'd watch again if it shows up for free on TV.
Other movies I always watch when they show up for free on TV...Shawshank, Bridesmaids, Infinity/Endgame, John Wick, and No Country.

I know right? Should have been a 10.0. Not sure what they were smoking…..
I thought it was a CGC 9.8...didn't realize it was a 9.9 for that price. Very nice take.
***That Batman recall is nicely priced also

Here's my problem with things like this. What if...the movie made lots of money. I'm talking about Endgame level type of money (which was a real possibility with all the hype leading up to the release). Would all of this misery/harassments/complaints be coming out?
Are we sure the Russo Bothers weren't abusive to the Avengers cast? Or Tika didn't threaten Dave Batista?
Joss Whedon got away with it for so long because he made people money. And when he didn't make money everybody came out of the woodworks to bury him.

It'll be Cosmic Ghost Rider for the following reasons:
- Robbie Reyes (Gabriel Luna) was a flop
- Johnny Blaze (Nicolas Cage) was a flop
- Danny Ketch would be possible and that would fit well with Midnight Sons but the MCU is heading towards cosmic powers
***Most importantly...with Johnny Storm coming to the MCU you can't have a Johnny Blaze (would confuse the audience)

Real Grade Sinanju, I mean... WOW! So far I'm working on a Zephyranythes Full Burnern RG, it's coming along slowly but nicely.
For the first time I'm watching Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans. Only 3 or 4 epsidoes in, and I think it's great. Can it live up to Gundam 00? I can't wait to find out. It's certainly had a good start, so who knows.
Finally, I'm reading the Gundam Seed Astray manga. Published by Tokyo pop in 2004 I think? Good stuff. Story is so much better told than 00F, which is a shame.
1. I don't think you will find many Gundam fans on this site (fortunately you found one of the biggest fan in the world here)
2. The RG Sinanju looks great but it has flaws with loose parts and difficult to pose. Pick up the Weiss (mine is pictured below)
3. I was working on a MG Hazel build for the World Builder Competition a few years ago before they canceled all the in person events due to Covid
4. Skip IBO the anime and go straight to the MG Barbatos build (or watch Battlogue)
5. For the manga...get into the Titans storyline.

Well that was a quick 1 billion.
***Maybe "The 355" will stop it<---(cringing every time I see the commercial for this movie)

I'm tired of Superman fighting physically overpowered beings. Lets bring in Myxlplyx and do some crazy higher dimension crazy crazy.
***In my head the name is pronounced "mix-yes-spit-lik"

Does the Predator and Alien/Prometheus franchise qualify? I've given up.
Also skipped the Star Wars movies (you know which ones).
Wonder Woman 1984...I'm not even sure it released in theaters but if it did I wasn't going.
***Let There Be Carnage...I went but wish I didn't

The Marvel title that saved their publishing busniess and launched a whole new brand of story telling doesn't have a thread?!
So I'll start!
You going to extend this thread to Ultimate Fallout?

I got this if you want to trade. Really don't want to but it's the holidays and I feel generous.

If they want to be true to comics they will get someone like Brock Lesnar.
LOL...I was thinking along the lines of Flash Thompson or Harry Osborn.
***But Brock Lesnar would be legit for an R-Rated movie

The real question...who is going to be the MCU Venom???
***I don't think it will be Tom Hardy

I think you're safe about that not being a spoiler. Here's the one concern I have about such comments. People (some) were saying that the reaction was greater than Endgame. That's where I start saying "whoa whoa whoa". Lets not go crazy here. Endgame audience reaction was beyond insane.
***But I'll see it myself soon
