  1. I'm not sure what you mean. It is the most fitting place to discuss it, no?
  2. Here's another one to watch very closely. This one has "sold" via auction atleast twice already... Rick and Morty #1 1:50 variant (2015, Oni Press) https://www.ebay.com/i/272883484497 The last time is was ONLY bid on by bidders l***c (53) and 4***y (4).
  3. Heads up... Here's another 1:50 Roiland variant listing that is potentially being shilled. The current highest bidder has been involved in several other auctions for copies of this book, most of which appear to have been shilled. RICK & MORTY #1 1:50 ROILAND VARIANT ONI PRESS 2015 JUSTIN ROILAND NM https://www.ebay.com/i/263253841125 If you are looking for a copy of this book and see bidders l***c (53) or 4***y (4) it is more than likely not a clean auction and should be reported. If you have never reported an item it only takes a few seconds and would be greatly appreciated.
  4. If you care about the hobby and the correction of this series, then report these shills. All the shill bids by "4***y" are still active.
  5. This summer at SDCC I attended the Rick and Morty cast/creator signing at Adult Swims' "On the Green" event. They only signed on Saturday, and it was limited to only 125 people. I witnessed a woman offer $600 to every person in the line for the bracelet to get in, and every single one of us turned her down. It didn't even appear to be discussed by any of the others in line, and she had the cash in hand. We all just wanted the autographs, most of us likely just for our own collections. If you ask me, people declining $600 to only get one item autographed is a pretty good example of just how dedicated this fan base can be. So don't be shocked but the sales of the more off the wall items. The McD's sauce is a big deal for the show. McDonald's is only bringing it back for one day, but they are still only bringing it back because of Rick and Morty. That's pretty huge for a show on Adult Swim.
  6. All three of the current listings for this book all still have active bids that are suspected as shills by "4***y" (3). If you have a few seconds please report them. Rick and Morty #1 Justin Roiland 1:50 Variant Cover - Very Rare!! - Holy Grail!! https://www.ebay.com/i/192322500915 Rick and Morty #1 1:50 variant (2015, Oni Press) https://www.ebay.com/i/272871140380 Rick and Morty #1 Roiland Variant - Oni Press 1:50 VARIANT https://www.ebay.com/i/263238957764
  7. IF that pic actually belongs to them. I suspect it doesn't seeing that they keep using the same pictures for a book that they sold a ways back and received feedback for. Which is also likely BS.
  8. I'd love for that *spoon* to show me the exact same defect on all of those books.
  9. If you look closely you'll notice pumgarl_0481's listings have all used the same exact book. Whoever it is did change locations where they were based out of, and the images used, but it's still the same exact book. I really don't have a clue who's dirty and who isn't but this is just absurd that it just continues to happen. Escpecially by the same bidder after several reports. It's to the point now that if you are not blocking that bidder before relisting the book, then I'm leaning towards them being dirty as well.
  10. Heads up, the Rick and Morty #1 1:50 Roiland variant is under a shill attack by bidder "4***y" (3). That user has "won" numerous past auctions for this book and if I'm not mistaken the majority of them, if not all of them, have been relisted. I went ahead and reported every 1:50 auction they are bidding on. A few of these listings are repeat listings, some of which have auctioned off the same exact copy as many as five times. If you have a moment please report them. I suspect one or two of those sellers are involved in this book being shilled, especially seller pumgarl_0481 who appears to be dirty in all of this. Here's a recent one from pumgarl_0481 If you look at the books sales history you'll quickly see the same copy being "sold" by pumgarl_0481 several times. RICK AND MORTY #1 FIRST PRINT - Legit 9.8 candidate! JUSTIN ROILAND 1:50 VARIANT https://www.ebay.com/i/122723560326 Here are the active ones currently being shilled by bidder "4***y"... Rick and Morty #1 Justin Roiland Variant Cover Single Issue - Hyper Rare https://www.ebay.com/i/322791645824 Rick and Morty #1 Justin Roiland 1:50 Variant Cover - Very Rare!! - Holy Grail!! https://www.ebay.com/i/192322500915 Rick and Morty #1 1:50 variant (2015, Oni Press) https://www.ebay.com/i/272871140380 Rick and Morty #1 Roiland Variant - Oni Press 1:50 VARIANT https://www.ebay.com/i/263238957764 I'm having a hard time finding out exactly where the smoking gun is coming from. Hopefully any additional reports will get eBay to take a closer look at these bidders and sellers. Thanks all.
  11. "All DC, Image, Marvel, or other publisher booth signings are not eligible for CGC." According to who?
  12. The decision to make, and to continue with the sale of this book is a direct slap in the face to everyone who has already ordered the other ones. It's just another cash grab by Bulletproof to try and make as much money as possible, by doing as little as possible.
  13. You can't argue with facts. No matter how much any of us love the Saga RRP, it is not a first print. I lean towards it being a third print variant now and don't think any less of the book, it's absolutely stunning. I have a feeling though that quite a few people who want a copy, and probably even a few who own a copy have no idea that it is not a first print. I'm sure some even assume it was released the same day Saga #1 was. Like Square said though, that may not even matter, rarity is boss right now.
  14. I'm not familiar with the identical Ryan variants that sold. I was only referring to the identical Four Color Grails slab sales by seller wwe_dvds on eBay. They are legit, he's just not updating the listings. I don't know of any reason, nor have I seen any reason to believe he's played any part in market manipulation with his copies. Did I miss something?
  15. I see it happen quite a bit as well. The Four Color Grails variant does have 44 9.8's on the census so I imagine we'll be seeing quite a few more identical sales.
  16. I'm pretty sure the seller of the multiple Four Color Grails slabs is just not updating his listings from one to the next, that's all. I do know that he did indeed have several copies at one time, and possibly several more.
  17. The combination of Rick and Morty cast and creator autographs on a graded R&M book like that are much harder to come across than a 1:50 Roiland variant. So in comparison to other R&M books the closing price isn't a surprise to me at all. As a fan I've been paying close attention to the series and it's sales. It's been obvious for quite some time that the 1:50 variant was being blatantly shilled, and more than likely the standard cover #1 as well. Yet that does not necessarily mean that the current prices associated with that book or the series overall are a direct result of that manipulation. It is a possibility that the series has just gained that much momentum. I won't say that's definitely the case, but it is something to consider. I'm sure it looks completely upside down to several people that a series like Rick and Morty is on fire but it is what it is. The fan base is as rabid as any I've ever come across, and imo rightfully so. It really is a great series, both the show and the comic.
  18. Did I happen to miss an updated statement from E.S./Image in regards to variants?
  19. If people had any respect left for you on these boards I hope it's lost from this comment. In no way is a joke about purchasing a child funny.
