  1. From what you have shown already you have an amazing Tick collection. Seriously impressive and one to be very proud of. Thank you for sharing what you've shown, I think it's extremely awesome!
  2. Encourage him to get one more strike What happens if another strike is given?
  3. You should check it out. It's worth a watch IMO. Yes, I just said that. G.G. would be disappointed Maybe listening to GG while watching The Notebook lines up like The Wizard of Oz and Pink Floyds The Wall. Watching Wizard of Oz while listening to Dark Side of the Moon is the way to go. You are correct. I blame Awax for rattling my cage with GG.

  5. I'm sorry. * Not a message for him. It's for you having to possibly cross paths with The CAK.

  7. And what about zombies? Zombies bring in both male and female viewers as well as readers but Rick's piercing blue eyes have come up in several conversations I had with females about the show more so than the zombies . Wd Is "Days of our lives" with a zombie backdrop. No reason that can't happen with another Kirkman title. Some say Y the Last Man is a comic version of The Notebook with a monkey

  9. One strike for what appears to be three no no's? "Instigating posts as well as spamming and thread-crapping"
  10. I also have a hard time seeing Saga optioned. I'll cross my fingers and wish for a l high quality trilogy one day though. Oh, dreams.
  11. Think it was 70-75 k on the first print #1. I don't think that is over the top considering millions watch cinemax and when you throw Kirckman high quality tv show in the mix collectors and non collectors will be all over this one. Maybe not like WD but it'll pay off dividends nonetheless. Every week I meet at least 1 person who watches WD faithfully and never knew it was a comic first, or that there is a comic at all. I guess they know every inch of the episodes except for the Kirkman / Adlard credits? I bought plenty of Outcast #1 when it came out and I hope the show does well. I don't see it ever cracking $30 raw, but I've been wrong before I never thought Saga 1 would be worth much considering the print run. Saga has a way bigger reach than outcast IMO. Not for very long ... I may be bias but I definitely don't see Outcast coming close to the reach Saga has. Even with its show on the way or when it's on the air. Most people I know who tried Outcast dropped it. Saga on the other hand gained readers for quite some time, with no deal. Yes, you are biased. I tried to leave it out of my opinion I <3 Saga! By reach I was thinking about future print runs and #1 prices. Not general awareness of the show, as many know many TWD watchers still have no clue it's based on a comic. We are still talking about a Cinemax show as well. Yet if a raw #1 Outcast reaches 1/2 the going rate of a raw Saga #1 it would be very close to its reach by the double the print run factor. I'm rooting for that or better so everyone holding stacks does very well.

  13. It took 7 days to get a posted response to my comment.....yeah.....VERY quiet Tim But I'm always here watching...there's plenty of news all the way around for Enormous-- both the adaptation and book. At this stage I'm letting everything take its proper course and due time. Don't want to screw it up!
  14. Not sure when it was released but you can check here. http://www.comichron.com/ Already did. It's not listed..... Could the print run be THAT low ? The numbers may not be available yet. If the date it's released is available for others then it may be that small. Yet not knowing the book I'm not sure if it's that low or not. I wouldn't think a Boom! series would debut that low to not be listed.

I hope Outcast explodes for everyone holding copies to sell.

  17. At this point it would not even be a debate in my mind. I'd ship the book back as looking at it would just remind me how much of a headache the transaction was.
  18. You'd definitely know better than me. Personally I'd move them when the trailers start as I can't see an explosion once the show starts as compared to the hype building with how many copies exist. Especially knowing how many people have multiples waiting for the show to start and the channel it's on.
  19. What was the print run of Outcast #1? May be a factor compared to how many people actually get Cinemax and collect comics. I don't have any copies other than a reader but I'd most likely move them if I did have multiples as the buzz builds and people are looking for multiples rather than when the show starts.
  20. He did say nothing is ever off the table.
  21. Did you get your books? The tracking number shows it won't arrive until at least Saturday. Media mail cross country usually takes over a week for me. I thought you were joking, and then I ran the above tracking number. He actually...sent you a slab....media mail...after all of that? That is a crock of you know what. He should have been ashamed for taking so long to mail it and sent it overnight or at least 2 day and he sent it media mail? It does show Saturday as a delivery date assuming it's even on time. What a pitiful excuse for a seller. I somewhat defended him in the past in a different thread but now I see why people said what they said. There is not enough for this. I ship slabs under $100 media mail to keep the price of the book down. This was a $65 order, shipped. Hardly anyone wants to buy a slab for $40 and have to pay 25% of the value of the piece to have it shipped. If they do, an upgrade is offered to USPS Priority. It is perfectly legal to send out comics from 1990 and 1992 via media mail.I have yet to have any package that was sent media mail opened..........and if by the long shot any package were opened, then I'd absorb the shipping costs and ship it back out via priority. I included a raw 1st print NM copy along with the slabbed 2nd print. The raw book was quadruple boarded in a standard Mylite2, then sheathed in a Silver/Gold Mylite2 with about 4 silver/gold BCW boards. Laid on top of a buffer, put on top of the slab....bubblewrapped in a oversized doublewall shipping box. The extra book brought the weight up to over 3 pounds so I paid a bit extra at the post office when it was shipped. It would have cost an extra $19 to have it upgraded to priority, on top of the printed postage that I already paid for. With the book added in as a means of offering my apologies, and the average of a 3 day differential between priority and media mail, this seemed decent to me. At the very least it should have been sent priority mail for the inexcusable delay in getting the buyer the book. By sending it media mail to save a few dollars is extremely petty in this situation and insult to injury IMO.
  22. You guys are completely right. I should have shipped the books out weeks ago, and a lot of things have kept me from doing it, but it's still my responsibility to get it done. These books will go out tomorrow morning, and I'm going to to my level best to improve my transactions in the future. I apologize that it got this far. Went ahead and fixed that for you. Yes, thank you....that should have been my response. I'll respond to the other comments when I get home....just wanted to let Juan (and the rest of the board) know his xmen 268 2nd print 9.6 slab was just shipped.....and I included a raw NM copy of the 1st print of #268, in a mylite 2 standard/full back combo, sheathed in a silver/gold mylite2 and full back combo....as proof positive of just how tightly and anal retentively amy shipping methods are ...hah .....but mostly, as my way of apologizing and trying to make amends Jimbo's RAK will be shipped Monday on my lunch break, gotta dig thru some boxes today when I get home to find at least a couple other cool SA/BA mags to hook him up with.....and if I'm going to ship out to Canada, it should be for a handful of books, not just a single mag. So you demonstrate your "tight and anal rententive" shipping methods by IMPROPERLY shipping a slab using media mail, potentially sticking the buyer with a penalty if the package is inspected...all after delaying shipping for a month to begin with? Sometimes I think the entirety of your board membership is one, long, extended trolling session. I am having a hard time believing anyone could be this fricken clueless. Honestly. You are officially banned from giving anyone advice, unless it's advice on how to NOT follow board selling rules and how NOT to make amends when you screw up. So very well said. The trolling is as relentless as the absurdly innapropriate posts. In no way am I buying any sort of clueless aspect.
