  1. No doubt it's BKV heavy. I'm a huge BKV fan but originally set out to find other recommendations. Please feel free to make a few suggestions, as of now the list is made up of other people's feedback. I'd love to add a few on the list even for my own personal read pile.
  2. The first post of the thread has been updated. Please note that the second list will not stay. If you feel a series mentioned on it is deserving to be cast in stone among the most reccomended list just post a list for voting purposes. I see a few but am trying not to be bias . The list will act as nothing more than a quick cheat sheet of highly recommended series. I would really like to compile a list that is of the greatest series of modern times.
  3. Please feel free to keep the suggestions coming in. Once I see suggestions getting recommended by three or more people I will update the first post of the thread with a list of the most recommended series.
  4. Isn't Image the only ones making any variant for Image books now?
  5. Pretty much any BKV work I've read has grabbed me in some way. I really want to check out his Swamp Thing work but know he's up against some phenomenal ST work from the past. I agree, when animals are involved it does tend to hit me a bit more than usual. Although I felt WE 3 missed the mark (It may just not have been for me though) you may want to check it out if you haven't. Every employee at my LCS said it pushed them to borderline tears.
  6. For me personally I Kill Giants ranks among one of the most moving series I've read. Extremely powerful in such a short series.
  7. That is by far the most absurd thing I've read this week. If it's actually true then I'd have to come up with an even more fitting word because absurd wouldn't cut it. I cannot fathom anyone of sound mind ordering that many copies of any book.
  8. I believe the order cutoff for Paper Girls was 9/14/15.
  9. So ridiculous. This will be a 5 dollar book in a month. +1 That write up was as hysterical as it was sad from the lack of knowledge. It's a fun book, nothing more. I swear even with Harley as hot as she is this is reaching for straws to push this book as something special. The weeks that have little for the flippers really do expose some people.
  10. A for Amp and for one of the greatest series to date!
  11. Leave it to Jesus to put my excitement about a cool looking record into perspective.
  12. Thanks for the update Tim, but I'm still going to blame Diamond. They deserve it.
  13. No such thing. One copy per person on the planet sounds about right to me. It's BKV! Spec wise I have no idea.
  14. Shortly after being exposed here 215 canceled the series before release if I recall correctly. (Unsure if they are related)
  15. Now this is pretty cool! Off the NYCC site... The Walking Dead "Original Soundtrack Vol.1" LP [brains & Guts Vinyl Variant] Spacelab9 Booth(s): 842 Category: Collectible Released on vinyl for the first time in a limited edition and packaged in a deluxe gatefold jacket & printed inner pocket sleeve with many images from the hit TV show. A very limited edition of “Brains & Guts” pink/purple vinyl will be available exclusively from the Spacelab9 booth (842) at New York Comic Con from October 8th – 11th.
  16. I hope it is news about content, more issues coming out (maybe once a month), signings, other media news, and/or signings/appearances and not news about more short printed variants NYCC is the place to be!
  17. Off the NYCC site... Cliff Chiang Paper Girls NYCC Exclusive Art Print A 13x24" signed and numbered limited edition art print exclusive to the NYCC show! Only 100 printed
  18. If anyone would like to pick up a few on preorder TFAW has 74 in stock.
  19. Wow, for a moment there I almost thought I killed the thread with this post. Nothing from anybody on this one? Nobody cares about these books? They're definitely "hot." Look at the eBay auctions going on. I think it's interesting to see a little publishing venture come out of nowhere and gain some traction and buzz. Not an easy thing to do. Pretty easy IMO. Cut off retailer variants on Image and hello new guys for flips.
  20. I'd have to guess the lower print run of a pretty cool team up. Other than that, most likely nothing at all and will fizzle pretty quick.
