  1. I have given information, Seerojas has joined the discussion, he didn't deny any of the specifics in my posts. What more do you want? I have done my best to contribute and I feel that's where my responsibilty ends. Good luck in dealing with Seerojas. E
  2. Thx for all the PM's and a happy 2016 to all of you. I bought an ASM666 set from Seerojas for $1700 on 7-Jul-2014. The set was incomplete and remained so after months of (40) e-mails and promises. So in December 2014 I decided to put this story on the board. At the same time - 27-dec-2014 - I sent Seerojas a PM, summarizing the history of our issue which I had also posted here. I also wrote: 'This is your final chance to formally respond to my complaint, otherwise I will try to get you put on the HOS-list of this forum'. Obviously, no solution was reached. PL or HOS: at that time I wasn't aware of the difference and it doesn't matter to me, I just want people to know who this guy Seerojas is. Nothing happened on the board as well, so I let it go as I had better things to do. Meaning: I gave up. Then 1 year later Seerojas returns and makes a lot of fuss. He PM's me with an offer of $55 restitution and another $55 to make things right. To make this clear: it was his offer, not my demand and I didn't take the effort to check if this amount was relevant or not. I refused his offer as I didn't believe he would live up to his promise. Then I changed my mind, as it would demonstrate to the board that this guy does not keep his promises. I sent him a PM that I accepted his offer and of course I didn't hear anything from him after that. If Babaooey and Jsilverjanet say that there isn't enough reason for adding Seerojas to the PL, that's fine with me. Apparently they don't have problems with buying things that turn out to be incomplete. That's it for me. I have done my best to share my experience with Seerojas and that's all I think you can expect from me. best, E
  3. I didn't withdraw the nomination and as you can read the situation was never resolved. At some point however, I decided to let it go. I didn't want to put attention anymore to a case that I considered hopeless. And I also felt I had done what I could on warning the boardies around here. best, E Nothing seems to happen (again), so I will leave it be, as I feel I have done my best (again) getting this person on the list in order to protect other boardies. best, E

  5. Still nothing heard from Seerojas. So another false promise. I'll be watching his activity on the board and if necessary warn against him, but putting this guy on the list would make it much easier, Best, E
  6. Well, well, well. There is Seerojas again. After delivering an incomplete lot, months and months of false promises of restitution or sending the missing book and one year of silence, he finally shows up, claiming of not being properly informed and making a lot of fuss of how unjust he was treated. But in my opinion this last post shows his true interest: it's not completing his deal with me, he is just worried about not being able to sell anymore books. Well, I warned you against this guy but for some reason he is not on the list. Don't blame me if a boardie becomes duped. BTW, I have accepted Seerojas offer per PM of restituting $55 + another $55 for the long waiting period. Of course, Seerojas will not pay, but if somehow he does, I will let it be known. Strange, so many PM's from Seerojas in a couple of days and such fast responses, and now I don’t hear anything anymore...
  7. BTW, I indeed bought the missing Stadium variant through a boardie here. If somebody has a Mac variant I am willing to pay handsomely for this. Seerojas mentioned to me that the copy in his lot was a signed copy, but he forgot to mention that it was not just a signature, but a complete message to a friend of the owner of Mac's.

  9. Congratulations, the centering of this book can not be better. Yes there may be the stain on the back, but the appeal... I bought a CGC 8.0 but it doesn't have this gorgeous registration of the cover as your book does.
  10. Hi, I am looking for an ASM1 CGC8.0 or 8.5, OW, OW/WP or WP, no marvel chipping. Proposals or Recommendations would be most apreciated. Thx, E
  11. Bought an ASM 43, 91 and 92 from Chay. Communication and fast shipment were much appreciated and he even helped me out locating books that were on my want list. Thx!
  12. That's a great drawing and - from what I can see - that is by no means amateuristic inking!
  13. I think it is much more simple than that: many potential buyers of a 9.8 disappeared from the market, because the 9.8 was not available for a long time and they settled for a 9.6 instead. That's the case with me. I bought an 9.6 and I still can not find why it is a 9.6 and not a 9.8. And another thing is that with the price of 9.6 in decline, upgrading is not an obvious thing to do, unless you have a rather big wallet and are willing to take a considerable loss on the 9.6 on top of the high price for the 9.8.
  14. BTW, if somebody can and want to help me with ASM v1 25, 40, 46, 50, 60, 63, 69, 87, 101 (all CGC9.0-9.2) 103, 104, 113, 149 (CGC 9.2-9.4), I would be so gratefull... I am willing to pay around 12 month average GPA and have a US address in case that is preferred. I am also open to raw books from reputed sellers.
  15. Is this for real...? http://www.ebay.com/itm/The-Amazing-Spider-Man-28-BEST-COPY-EVER-SOLD-ON-EBAY-9-6-amazing-copy-LOOK-/321846028480?hash=item4aef84a8c0
  16. Actually I won the $1850 CGC 9.6. Didn't expect it and not too sure if I am really happy with this
  17. The 678 is the one book that I bought just BEFORE price exploded
  18. Why were these book markte variants actually made?
  19. I still believe that the next big one will be the ASM648 Scott Campbell Colour. This one is the first I have seen in 6 months time: http://www.ebay.com/itm/AMAZING-SPIDER-MAN-648-VF-NM-VERY-RARE-VARIANT-J-SCOTT-CAMPBELL-COVER-/161678842638?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item25a4cf5b0e
  20. Where's the $1200 auction? I don't see it at eBay
  21. That is a fun thread, a good thing that I only collect Amazing Spider-Man and have refrained from all other spin-offs. I just bought a ASM700 Quesada B&W. Maybe not so expensive but a gorgeous cover IMHO. http://boards.collectors-society.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=8170729&fpart=1 -J.
  22. That is exactly what I was thinking when I bought a raw copy, described as 9.2. I was lucky however, my copy looked much nicer than expected when it arrived and I don't think I will pursue a higher grade copy as I am not into this for trade. However, I would never have paid the $1475 which is currently being offered. It seems for once I bought a copy in time (did I ever mention I was negotiating about an IH#1 CGC 8.0 at the time the 9.2 was sold for 320k? That basically ended my aspirations for a higher grade full run of IH) Normally I would agree. But in more than the past year there have only been 5 slabbed copies publicly sold. And no 9.8's in over 2 years. I'm assuming some are now preferring to roll the dice on raw copy at this point then wait for an uder-high grade slab with a cost prohibitive price tag. -J.
