  1. It is a really great looking book, very nice pick up. Congrats!
  2. Oh yeah! I just picked up another ASM Annual 1 Canadian on EBay! Here is the link http://www.ebay.com/itm/331893197541?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT I will post a good pic once I have it in hand. That's 2 CGC 2.5 copies for this guy. They just don't hit the market that often. I am very happy to pick this up. Hoarder alert.
  3. Who said you couldn't relax ? I certainly didn't mean to stress you out My opinions are an honest assessment of the comic hobby and the economics of things as they relate to Amazing Fantasy 15 being over priced That's all Your arguments for AF 15 being over priced are almost entirely based upon the supply side, arguing that the book is not that rare. Truth is, the stock is fixed an has been since publication. Price is now and really always has been almost entirely demand driven. I believe demand will continue to increase. That is a valid argument and certainly is the nub of our disagreement I think demand will fall. Not because the book isn't an important and cool book. I love Amazing Fantasy 15 and still have my copies. I just believe that the economy is gonna seriously stall and I question whether due to its commonness, whether it will be a good store of value I just think prices will come down I certainly don't think they will be going up from here And the idea of a permanent plateau is unlikely Yes, I do agree that our main difference is on supply side vs demand side. And honestly, I could see demand cool off some as comic book movies lose steam, etc. but I don't think it will be enough for the price to actually decrease. And sorry if I got defensive, I just thought your first reply was dismissive. You seem a decent fellow. Water under the bridge.

  5. Not to be snide but you do realize that your appeal to authority argument is a big part of the problem Too many experts nowadays Just saying that I do know a thing or two. So what, I'm not allowed to chile in on your thread becuase I disagree with you? We will all be laughing about Brexit in 6 months. And the AF 15 prices will keep climbing.
  6. Wow, I thought this might be the one place I could come to avoid the hysteria around Brexit, but no. Seriously, global markets are massively over reacting. 2 days of loses does not imply that we are headed into a bear market, that is ridiculous. Markets will rebound when people realize that corporate profits DONT tank and the stocks are actually undervalued. I am not at all concerned about prices for AF15. By the way, I am an economics PhD and I work in finance. Which in no way means that I can predict the future better than any other economist, but I do know what I am talking about.
  7. Already up to $2,364 with over 7 days left. Quite a bit of Schill bidding. Also, it's missing a page. I think i'd avoid this one. Yeah, it does look like some brazen shill bidding. And what's with the seller not saying which page is missing? Makes a big difference whether or not it's from the Spidey story. Agreed. It makes a HUGE difference if it's a Spidery page. How can you not mention that? I just don't see how it can go for more than about 2,500 when 3,000 is the price of a cover less copy these days with no missing pages. Boy was I wrong. Almost hit $3,400! Makes me feel great about my .5 copy that I got for less than that. "Won" by a zero fb bidder. Agreed the whole auction was a complete mess with all those bidders with zero feedback!! Didn't realize it was bogus. Too bad. I wanted a clean read on the price.

  9. I love the idea! My image has been changed And thanks to everyone else too. I am very happy that I picked this one up.
  10. Just picked this one up. Got a pretty good deal on it too thanks to another local Spidey collector here in Las Vegas. Highest graded copy of #2 I've ever owned. Very happy to add this one to my collection!
  11. I would also love to see someone fill this in. And if you could add the current value of a .5 copy that would be great This should make your day... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Amazing-Fantasy-15-CGC-5-Origin-and-1st-App-of-Spider-Man-Aunt-May-Uncle-Ben-/272268159468?hash=item3f647269ec:g:7bcAAOSwZSFXJOUV -J. Wow, that does make my day. Can't believe the prices on this book. Makes me happy that I have a copy, but sad to think about how much harder it is getting to upgrade.

  13. Very nice books! I am picking up a blue label 4.0 here in Las Vegas this Saturday, I will post a pic as soon as I have it in hand.
  14. Sure, but the only way my copy would be an upgrade for you is if your copy is cover less.
  15. Gorgeous! Never owned better than a CGC 7.0 myself.
  16. 2.5 for sure, might get a 3.0 on a good day. Such a classic book. Makes me happy to see every time.

  18. So beautiful! Wow! I will forever dream of owning a copy this nice!
  19. Given that it also has a missing page, I am thinking $2,400 - $2,500.
  20. Cool book. As a fellow member of the AF 15 CGC .5 club, I welcome you back with one open arm and my own rag copy in the other.
  21. Wow! What a book! One of the best in the club! (Been away for a few months, sorry I didn't notice earlier)
  22. I'm a little late to see this, but very nice copy and welcome to the club!
  23. A truly great collection. Well done. A sight to behold!
