  1. Excellent copy Al! I love the date stamp too.
  2. Almost definitely a green label if you resubmit, not a purple. That's what I would do if it were me. Either way, congrats on completing the book!
  3. Added a low grade copy of Sgt. Fury Annual #1 Canadian Edition. Hope to have all the Canadian Annuals eventually!
  4. I added another rough copy this week. Now that I have two of the ugliest copies on earth, maybe I will get rid of both to get a single copy that's a bit nicer.
  5. Very nice looking copy! I have always loved the cover of this issue as well. So cool with Spidey upside down like that. What is the grade?
  6. Great pick up MintyMint! I hope you complete your run! What do you mean they are buried? You know who has them?
  7. welcome to one of the coolest clubs around. Very solid copy!
  8. I do believe both pence editions and Canadian editions were printed at the same time as the standard versions. Most of what I have read before suggests a ratio of about 1:10 on the pence copies. The Canadian editions certainly seem to be more rare than that, but tough to say for sure. I really do think people put a premium on the $ pricing too, being US originated material and all.
  9. I would also be fascinated to hear if anyone has a copy. I just discovered that there is only 1 Marvel Tales #1 Canadian Edition on the census! I have one,but take me ages to find it.there is a small show next week,i think a friend may still have a copy for sale.will let you know. For real, let me know!
  10. It is interesting. I have sold some key books that were pence copies, such as a copy of X-Men #1, and it sold for considerably less than the U.S. edition. Yet I have seen several Canadian annuals command a premium. But as to why, I don't know for sure. I do think changing the price on the front cover matters. The Canadian editions look no different on the front, only the ads were removed inside and on back. And I do believe they are more rare.
  11. Thanks for sharing! Just added an Annual #2 Canadian! Now just need a Marvel Tales #1. And as many ASM Annual #1's as I can get!
  12. I would also be fascinated to hear if anyone has a copy. I just discovered that there is only 1 Marvel Tales #1 Canadian Edition on the census!
  13. Grabbed a third Canadian copy last week, just getting around to posting it. This one is restored, but still, one of only 23 total copies on the census. Anyone else have pictures of their copies to share?
  14. Really nice books Jeff! I can't wait to see how your next bunch of submissions come back.
  15. Ha! What a joke. Most obvious shilling ever. Book is not worth nearly that much sitting in a CGC holder.
  16. This thread is ridiculous. I assure you, there are plenty of rules already. If this place gets any more up tight, I will completely stop buying and selling here. My vote: change nothing.
  17. Awesome! Maybe I should change the title of the thread and just make it general to all the Canadian annuals?
  18. I am not sure that I have ever seen a ST Annual 2 with the blank cover. I would be extremely interested if such a book existed!
  19. These comments are more in line with what I have observed over the last few years. Canadian Edition commanding a slight premium. Thanks for sharing!
