  2. This is what is currently left in the thread (scans are in the thread) I likely won't have another batch for a few days. Either the middle or the end of the week. You can either follow this thread or follow my Profile to get notified when I start selling again. Thanks to all for looking! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  3. Some slight revisions to the rules above As I announced last week, I plan to post a selling thread with a lot of raw books. Many of these books were going to go to CGC, some were just sitting waiting for a sales thread like this. There will be some keys, lots of run books, mostly high grade but also plenty of low and mid grade affordable. A little bit of stuff for everyone. I don't think there will be any really expensive books (I don't think there's anything over a few $100 although there are many VERY NICE books) so every thing will be affordable. I will throw in free shipping on anything over $200 and it will cost $10 to ship on orders under $200. I have 100's of books to list so I well get to them as I can. Everything will be priced very fairly and to sell. I will grade all of my books tight. I'm well known as a tight grader among the hobby but if there is any question, I will choose the lower grade. You will not be disappointed. All returns will be free of charge to you and I will pay return shipping if you are not satisfied. If you slab a book and it does not come in the grade I listed it at, I will pay for all costs including the grading fee. Of course, I don't expect you to return it if it grades higher.
  4. Shipping: Certified books, shipping is included FREE within North America, ROW we split it. Raw books, include $10 for shipping within North America. ROW I will split with interested parties. Who wins: Time stamp seals the deal as to who wins regardless of the form of communication (including PM, in the thread, text or phone conversation). A negotiation is not a deal until both sides have agreed on terms. If there is an unconditional posted (or communicated) it will trump all negotiations unless we have already both agreed to terms before the was posted. In that case, the will have been in vain. Except that it will give you street cred and look cool to passers by. No House Of Shame or Probationary members or any others of ill repute. Returns: I am considered a very good grader among my peers ( Here is a link to my kudos thread ) but since even CGC is inconsistent I will not guarantee a CGC grade. I will guarantee to be within one grade increment in either direction - so if I am calling the book a 9.4 it could go 9.2 or 9.6. If it falls outside of those parameters (and it does happen that they go in both directions), I will offer a refund. But I don't expect anyone to complain if I undergraded it. I will accept returns if item is otherwise not as described. Consider all books pressed. Pricing: I try to price books close to fair market value. I am open to offers but it's not very likely I'm going to be accepting offers at 30% off fair market value.
  5. I haven't disagreed in my post with anything you said so I'm not sure what you're trying to say. A month ago I was telling people that we're going to get locked down for longer than most people realized. Of course prices are going to fluctuate based on what's going on with CV-19 and the economy. Sell if you need to sell. But there's a lot of negative talk with very little positive reinforcement or balance on both the news on ad on most social media and I am trying to bring some levity to the talk that the world is going to collapse and that all is doomed. That's it. There are people making money through this (including people who are spending on non-essentials) and some people are even going to make their generational fortunes through this. But most importantly, eventually we'll bounce back like we always do.
  6. I was actually going to mention I was calling him too but I didn't want to brag.
  7. Sure, I'll just call him up and conference call him while I'm talking to Putin and Prince Charles about the same thing.
  8. I'd probably be one of those regulars because it sounds like my night out. I'm usually standing next to head of security and we chat all night!
  9. It's called humility and it is usually something people learn after suffering great loss themselves. It's also how you learn empathy.
  10. I was really excited about this but I read a report yesterday that said the G7 countries have not been able to make a reliable antibodies test. That surprised me (and I hope that it is wrong) because US media is talking about anitbody testing like it is ready to go. I only read what namisgr posted in another thread but what he posted said that they wouldn't know anything before the end of April. And really, watching the news day to day on this CV-19 pandemic is like watching the stock market too. It's meaningless because everything is so fluid and changing so quickly that what is news one day is meaningless the next day. Like anything, let's get some perspective. There are billionaires out there who want the world to work and businesses to run and they're pushing to find ways to make it happen by stopping this pandemic. Necessity is the mother of invention and we've haven't had necessity like this for decades, so things are going to start happening.
  11. I haven't even looked at the spreadsheet because to me it has little value other than as just a curiosity. It's like looking at a stock price on any given day. It's meaningless without context and not really useful except as a talking point.
  12. And yet, there are still people making LOTS of money in all of this. I've sold some big books at market prices in the last two weeks. Not everyone is suffering financially. There will be a slow down for many but not everyone. If people just wait for this virus to run it's course naturally, sure it's going to be a long wait. But there is new hope coming out every day. For one (and most importantly) the mortality rate is likely going to be MUCH lower than initially reported. Initial reports were 3-4% but it's realistically looking more like 0.6%-1.5% 2nd, population clusters that are actually practising PROPER SOCIAL DISTANCING are already flattening curves but population cluster that AREN'T practising it properly are going to suffer and slow it down for the rest of us. 3rd, they are doing clinical testing through this entire thing and new information is being found every day on treatment 4th big money is stepping up. For example, to speed things up, Bill Gates is throwing billions at possible vaccines even though they may not work out. 5th, and I find this news the most exciting, authorities are talking about testing people who have had CV-19 for antibodies and the possibility of allowing people (first essential employees) back into the workforce if they've already had it and built up immunity. It's early to tell and hope for it but it's a possibility. So there is lots to be positive about. It's not all doom and gloom. And let's face it, there is not a single time in history that humanity hasn't bounced back from anything. The key is to learn from our past and move forward.
  13. And his posts were spotted with moments where one of his co-workers would jump on his computer when greggy walked away at work and they would type up something ridiculous that made it sound like greggy was on drugs. Then greggy would have to explain it.
  14. Juststopit.DoyouWANTastrike? you. Don't bring that one back.
  15. I may have misunderstood you. I thought you said tourism was up and running. I hope you don't have a rise in cases, but most southern states are now starting to see a rise in numbers. We'll know in a few weeks. It's about 3-4 weeks that it takes for a peak to hit if people are social distancing properly. State safe, man!
  16. By describing me as "difficult" you're just admitting that we disagree on something(s). Agreeing to disagree is the mature process of 'dealing' with self-described "difficult" people. I'm just ahead of the curve. People have been trying to have a conversation. Even if people disagree with you they probably want to try to understand you. But you're either unable to articulate what you are trying to say (and this isn't the first time) so that at least SOMEONE understands what you are trying to say OR you enjoy being obstinate. Either way it means that conversation with you is pointless.
  17. Louisiana. Church pastor said church would stay open no matter what happened. I grew up in a Christian household and I understand the mentality that God will prevail over all but sometimes God tells you to build an ark when the weather is going to get really bad too.
  18. I must have died and gone to heaven because I've heard this more in the last two weeks than I have in the last year.
