  1. As an interesting note, does anyone remember Group B racing from the 1980's? It was a racing class that gave us some of the greatest automobiles every created, including the Ferarri GTO (1984) the Porsche 959 and the Audi Turbo Quattro - some of the most bestial and virile cars ever created. OK, on with Group B of my sales thread!
  2. Jeff, I had every intention to but it was my daughter's birthday today and everything got pushed ahead. I have to scan all the books yet. I just got in. I am going to do it tomorrow. I'm terribly sorry everybody but just not enough time in the day today as we had some unplanned things happen (nothing serious).
  3. It's pretty ridiculous. I've been involved in the recover of several stolen expensive comic books and not once was a charge laid or anything followed up on. Even when the person was caught red handed. Do you want to make the criminal system more efficient? Decriminalize drugs and take ALL of the resources and move them into mental health. Countries that do this have a massive drop in their drug use and their societies become healthier and happier. Then use the remaining space in the legal and penal system for real criminals so that they can be prosecuted properly for crimes.
  4. You're right. Culprit is probably the wrong word. Although the internet does enable thieves. For example, I wouldn't walk down the street if I had $20K in my pocket and advertise it out loud. I would be well within my right to but I'd also be putting a lot of effort into enabling someone to steal from me. Unfortunately, that's the reality.
  5. Well, from several long time collectors with rather extensive collections who I have heard about, the real public enemy #1 for comic hobbyists is your better half who is suddenly no longer your better half. Unfortunately, the largest culprit is the internet and people posting their collections for everyone to admire. It's almost like telling everyone how much money you have and asking thieves to try to find out where you keep it. If you're going to do that you should probably have everything locked down and fully insured.
  6. i appreciate the fact that you don't want to incriminate yourself. Like I said, it's really easy to be principled behind the veil of anonymity on a chat forum but it's an entirely different thing when you walk in the real world and actually do harm to your neighbors. Unfortunately, you can't discuss anything rationally because you're incapable of being intellectually honest and i hope you don't kill anyone with your beliefs (or actions).
  7. I'll note that you didn't answer the yes or no question with a yes or a no. And moving the goal posts again for a 4th time. Nobody was born with the Wuhan virus. So let's assume that you weren't born with a ball of fire that surrounds you that is twelve feet wide but now have contracted it and it's invisible. Is it OK to 'exercise your freedom' and walk around knowing it will kill some people and hurt others? Yes or No?
  8. Again, this is the 3rd time you're moving them. 1st it wasn't about anybody hiding. 2nd it wasn't about people's property it was about public places. Now it's not about fear, it's about protection towards your neighbor. You have introduced 3 irrelevant things into the discussion that are not relevant in an effort to try to win the discussion. I think i understand it perfectly so let me ask you a question. It's a really simple yes or no answer. Is it OK for you to walk around with a ball of fire 12 feet wide that may kill some people and hurt others without any regard for anyone you may come across?
  9. You just moved another goal post. It has nothing to do with anyone's 'property'. It has to do with access in public places. So your last two replies are completely irrelevant to the discussion because you changed the discussion. Your choice of 'freedom' to move in public places without respecting other people's rights to health is no different than someone choosing their 'freedom' to walk around with a 12 foot wide ball of invisible fire while saying you have the freedom to so and that it's on people who can't see it to hide inside. In fact, it's worse because you may or may not be carrying that 12 foot wide ball of invisible fire but you still expect everyone to respect your choice to carry it. Keep moving goal posts while you struggle with your own intellectual honesty. Meanwhile your idea of freedom is selfish and impedes on the rights of others. You still sound like a teenager full of an ideology that has no real practical place in the world. Nice idea, flawed execution.
  10. It's your moving of the goal posts that doesn't allow you to have an exchange of logic. Nobody said anything about hiding. People are not in hiding so you're creating a straw man. People are self isolating to prevent the spread of a virus but also need to be outdoors for various reasons including exercise, shopping for necessities and work (and whatever else that I can't think of). Your premise is that your freedom allows you to travel and act unfettered (meaning not respecting people's social distancing measures). But science and the law specify that if you travel and act unfettered you are imposing a risk on innocents. Everyone else's premise is that your freedom is reckless and endangers innocent others (which it does) So how do you justify your personal freedom to be more important than the health of innocents who are working to preserve their health?
  11. That doesn't explain anything. It's just a vague but well known reference with no context. Why does your 'freedom' allow you to endanger others?
  12. Humor me and explain it for me again since I must have missed it.
  13. Loud voices aren't correct by default. Nor are they incorrect. We're all judged by our peers in any given arena. You have not presented anything logical or supportive or convincing since the entire discussion began. Just contradiction, abrasion and then playing the victim card. You haven't articulated any points in a way that would reasonably explain what you believe and why you believe it to be OK. It really is like having a discussion with an annoying teenager. You're evasive and abrasive but never persuasive. In short: Immature. That's not an attack. It's an observation based on your inability to form logical flowcharts and using your vocabulary to explain it.
  14. Those that know greggy know that every part of that image has a story.
  15. Nah. He has a history of being abrasive and just arguing for the sake of arguing.
  16. I had 6 teenagers and you sound exactly like one. Circular logic, no regard for others. I've actually thought you were under age since you got here but if you're an adult then I suppose I feel sorry for the people around you. If you were spouting these things about how you're handling the pandemic with a real name attached you'd probably already be in legal trouble but it's easy to be really macho and idealistic when you're anonymous.
  17. You're having a discussion with someone that has the maturity of a teenager. Facts don't matter.
