  1. It's been massively popular for the last 2 or possibly 3 years. It's fading a bit out of popularity but women still wear them a lot. I don't see waistlines plunging, I see the opposite. Suit pants, jeans, shorts with higher waists...I see them everywhere. You mostly see them on the nightclub scene or around downtown cores were people care about how they look but they also incorporate them into business suits. You guys don't like this look?
  2. I'd agree that it had it's start in the late 1970's but it's definitely an 80's look to me. Priest, Metallica, Maiden, Slash are perpetuated that look in the early 80's. Anyhow, I'm just having fun. I think every era has it's positives and negatives. And I love the high waisted look on the ladies.
  3. Forget you and your lack of appealing 80's looks.
  4. Before agreeing that one book has passed another I'd need to see a trend, not just a few sales. That's one of the problems with the internet and GPA data, people don't have the patience to see where the chips are actually falling. They just assume every new data point is the new value. Again, remember you couldn't give away an All Star #8 or a More Fun #73 just a couple of years ago. This movie craze has no real logic to it. But again, I'd need to see a trend of several books in several grades before coming to a final conclusion. And as far as the Hulk #1 / AF #15 discussion that happened a few months ago on here, did Hulk #1 surpass AF #15? No, AF #15 just pushed up higher. In my opinion that same thing will happen if SC #4 continues to heat up - it won't surpass other books it will just push them up. Personally, I'm not a fan of all this movie hype. Oh, and for disclosure I don't own any of these books being discussed at the moment.
  5. High waisted jeans and shorts on women. They are the rage again, 25 years later. And they look as hideous today as they did then. Plus, high-waisted pants aren't 80's fashion. They're hold-overs from 60's & 70's fashions. Everything is in some way built on something else, but the last time they were used in mainstream was the 1980's (possibly early 1990's). But you're discussing this with someone who still dresses like it's 1984. Again, it's just personal taste. On the right person they look great.

  7. Showcase #4 was a slow book until they decided to make a television show. FMV wise it didn't move for a decade. There are just not as many Flash fans as there are Spidey fans.
  8. Absolutely never. I can't believe people would even think it might.
  9. The first time I saw Potter was episode #7. Is that the episode they appear in? That screenshot with the Stiltman legs is episode #13 around the 39 minute mark. And I'm on episode #8 so that would explain why I haven't seen it. Thnx!

  11. I understand what it is, it just didn't seem very well placed, especially when Foggy had just knocked down the thugs and they were both still vulnerable. I agree that it's just a small nitpick but it caught me as unusual.
  12. I didn't see it mentioned but at the 30 minute mark (reverse Netflix time) in Episode 7, just after you So far the only complaints I have about this show are some of the moments where there is too much talking or wasted time going while it seems the world is crashing down around them (Daredevil and the Russian mob leader, Foggy and Karen during Karen's mugging, etc - really folks? Danger is imminent and you don't just keep moving? You argue?). It's part of the over-acting I was talking about. Other than that, I really like the episodes so far. I'm up to the middle of #8.
  13. 1st, every era has it's hits and misses. You're focusing on the misses. 2nd, I think your taste stinks.
  14. no they aren't but they sure are better Yes, but only on the about 3 women in the world that that they look good on. 1st off, why is retro junk considered junk? Nearly every style of fashion comes back. I happen to like retro junk. Especially 80's retro junk. 2nd, there are plenty of women that look great in tights.
  15. Yeah, this Joker is shaping up to be a street punk version. Every times some hot new actor takes on an established roll they need to try to put a twist on the character. It would sometimes be a nice blast of fresh air to just see a classic representation rather than someone trying to outdo a previous version.
  16. I thought the 5th episode was a little too slow with too much talking and an unrealistic wait between anything happening.
  17. I've relisted my Marvel Mystery Comics #3 CGC 1.0 OWW in case anyone is interested. I also have a #6 going up shortly.
  18. I noticed that at 38:39 of episode #5. Nice little nod to the past...
  19. I don't understand the problem anyone is having with a movie where two Superheroes duke it out. You guys are too DC centric. This theme is a staple of Marvel since the Golden Age and has been responsible for some of the most memorable story arcs of the last 70 years.
