  1. Ray, while I would concur about the 'possibility' of a fake sale, there is absolutely no way to monitor it. I would ask the same question as Wombat here, what do you want to happen ? I would take the sales on this chat forum the way I take sales out in the wild or outliers on GPA...if it's too good to be true it probably is. Nobody is going to spend silly money here when they can buy it cheaper on eBay or elsewhere. I would also have no problem posting a link to the thread as the seller is already out there selling on this very forum, so it's not a secret. If the seller has nothing to hide he has nothing to worry about but if he is pulling something then raising awareness in a community is the right thing to do so that people can keep an eye on it. You wouldn't be doing anything wrong by pointing out who it is.
  2. The collection was considered a Pedigree long before CGC was around. The main factor was probably a combination of sheer volume and breadth of the collection as well as some higher grade copies being in the collection.
  3. Does anyone get delays when posting in the "Forum delayed posting and loading issues" thread?
  4. Why not? We have all seen some really taped up, sun/dust shadowed rip rags that have been slabbed. This one has a ding in the corner and that's not too bad. My question was just tongue in cheek. My Whiz run is raw so there's no need to slab it. I like flipping through them when I can.
  5. Yup, someone paid 7.0 money for it and it might even look better. Hard to say without large F+B scans.
  6. Price are always going to pull back a bit after a large surge. I also don't think putting 3 similarly priced / graded copies into one auction is very good for results either as some people can cross over into an either higher or lower grade book, diminishing the bidding pool. I have a hard time believing someone paid $33K for 'just' a 6.5 - someone was definitely buying the book and not the label.
  7. Looks to be a Chinese dragon logo from other shots. And by 'costume' do you mean 'for on screen use' like Harley's varsity jacket? If so I'll guess 'Yes'. Not to say he won't take it off at some point to poof up, gator-rage or whatever. Yeah, I meant for on screen use. He looks like he's bandaged up as a fighter and wearing a boxing outfit with that hoodie.
  8. Jamie Foxx in his Electro costume. Looks more like the lizard dudes from the original "V" . It would be ironic of that jacket he's wearing is alligator leather. -J. Is it possible that the jacket and hoodie are part of the costume? Is that an crocodile logo on the jacket?
  9. I agree. I have little interest in a movie that's over exposed like this one. I think posting so many pieces of the movie is working against it.
  10. Or they blast through the Daredevil arc from 1980 - 1982 where most of these characters appear.
  11. That's a tough excuse to not believe because you want to give benefit of the doubt. I had someone use that excuse with me recently. But apparently even a medical emergency is not as important as getting books into the Registry.
  12. God I hope not Her Facebook page says she's worked at CGC from 2002 to present. So I guess you guys are right. (thumbs u I last saw her in Dallas in 2012. She's been a CGC grader for a few years now. She no longer works the front lines. (thumbs u
  13. Apparently. But more importantly, people think nothing of putting up stolen books in their registry sets and claiming to own them. This isn't the first time it's happened. It's like video taping yourself performing a crime and putting it on Facebook or YouTube to show off. Just brilliant.
  14. There is nothing more important than having a cool Registry set. Even if it's stolen. Wow. I'd have outed him weeks ago.
  15. I tend to agree with CBT in a lot of ways. I think B v S has the ability to be awesome and I think that SS could be awesome too but it's very obvious that they are really trying hard to tie everything together and a LOT rests on them doing that successfully. Hopefully they're not trying too hard and blow it. There really is no substitution for time and that is something that Marvel has had on their side for nearly a decade now to lay a groundwork.
  16. I agree, each decade or generation has it's appeal (or gimmick) and the expanded universe seems to be this one's. That's what I was getting at with Ant-Man. Even if it's a B movie, it's going to do much better than a stand alone B movie. Bee movie. OK, that was funny.

  18. Are you talking to me? I'm not trying to be hip. I've been dressing like a washed up 80's rock star since high school Methinks you need to talk to those guys growing beards about trying to be hip. No, I was just giving my opinion, which I think is allowed. The fact that I'm often right might be weighed in but you don't have to if you don't want to.
  19. I agree with Bob. If their intention was to give people time to transition between Gibson and Hardy interpretations, this is the perfect way to do it - make a Mad Max movie where Max is almost indiscernible from Gibson's max and put in a distraction (like Theron) that is strong enough to carry the movie. I'm betting Hardy get's a MUCH larger road in the next sequel and will be much better accepted as Max, although he didn't do too bad this time around in his limited role.
  20. bold part - absolutely not possible, not even slightly. as for "other comic book movies", marvel is in its own separate world. There are comic book movies, and Marvel movies, and their fates and futures, long ago separated... Ant-man is Marvel's first heist film, and just one of their many moves into all genres. Nuff said While Ant-Man doesn't look awesome to me, if it plays an important role in the entire MU then it should do well as people will need to see it to stay in the loop. I don't know about that. Despite my best intentions I've never seen either of the Thor movies or watched an episode of Shield or Agent Carter, and I followed Avengers 2 just fine (at least I thought I did). I think Marvel would shoot themselves in the foot if you were forced to see everything for a later film to make sense. At that point it is easier to just see nothing than it is to watch everything. I should have put 'need' in quotations. Every movie can stand alone but there is a large amount of crossover that compels people to see what is going on that is new. For example, I'd never watch the Ghost Rider / Nic Cage movies but I will watch Ant-Man because of it's role in MU.
