  1. Red I sold Nik a book that he thought was a possible Ohio about a year ago. Anyone have any info/databases on this ped?
  2. It's not that I'm embarrassed to call myself a collector. I have been told that I can't.
  3. Is that all you got? Only 1 lonely 9.4? I'd be embarrased to call myself a collector in this place if I were you. Wow.
  4. Yup. One of your "cast offs". I would gladly eat the crumbs that fall from the table....
  5. He's too busy running Camp David. Why don't you go honk Bo-Bo's nose there, short barrel? Turns out you honk Bo-Bo's nose one too many times and they don't let you back in Chucky Cheese any more. Actually most of us stopped trying by the time we were tall enough to reach it. You still hang there?
  6. That's cause it was never used in an X-men comic.
  7. Well, this baby should be here any day so I guess it's ok to post it...thanks to Nearmint for this baby who after me offering my kidneys for it simply decided to move on to bigger and better things and give it to me in exchange for only money.
  8. Just wondering what grade the book would get....in the "Lab".... BTW, it's a purdy one. I wouldn't kick it out of bed. R.
  9. Thanks gang. I'm really excited. I'm going to crack it and read it. Maybe right now as I'm winding down after a very long day. Can't go wrong for a $100.
  10. Just got this in after the USPS decided to detour it through Australia. I'm a sucker for early Schomburg and yellow covers.
  11. Can't you get rid of your crappy Captain America and FF's? Mainly cause i don't buy crappy books in the first place. Sorry...FF's all gone, never was a Cap collector. Do you have any good books? I sold my Hi grade X men run 3 years ago when i separated. Only my #53 was a 9.6. Rest of my SA books were 9.4's except for a few low grade 9.0/9.2 beaters in the #2-19 range. Oh, and a POS #1 in VF.

  14. Mainly selling my Thor run (keeping my JIM's for now) in favour of some bigger GA books. R.
  15. Thanks Mike. Just wanted to clarify that all of my books are raw and will range in grade from 8.0 to 9.6. R.
  16. Public announcement. I'll be listing some hi grade books from my personal collection in the next day or two. I'm slowly selling off my personal books and changing my interests. I'll probably be listing hi grade Thor issues from the #120's onwards as well as a few odds and sods. Roy.
  17. Wow Jeff, that is a fantastic 5.0! I'm a huge fan of Yellow covers and that is a beaut. R.
  18. If what I have seen so far is correct (such as this 'Tec and your Schomburg signed MMC book) 7.5 seems to be the cut off for a non authenticated, cover signed book. Both this book and yours (Rich) seem to be nicer than 7.5 and simply limited to the grade because of the hand writing. R. They do both look nice, but I don't know if they comprise a large enough sample to make a definitive statement on how CGC views signed books. What would you have graded your Schomburg signed MMC book minus the sig... BTW, got a scan of that sweet li'l thang' hangin' around?

  20. WOW! I never noticed that. That's what happens when you read a comic. The problem was I spent so much time with my nose in the comic I never noticed the cover. Besides, all those darn Timely covers look the same... Yup, hi grade comics are nose candy. You know, Louise actually gets dizzy looking at a Schomburg Timely cover.
