Donald Duck Four Color #178 1947 Dell Pubs

Classic first appearance of Uncle Scrooge and cool Christmas cover!

A sharp, bright, complete copy. Has a small piece 3/4" x 1" out of lower left corner on front cover. Has a couple tiny color scrapes on cover. A neat 2" lower spine split. Small tear on back cover just above split. Small name on cover. No other tears or creases. Supple interior paper. If I didn't have a nice copy in my bound volume, this would be going no where...

    $100.

Never owned a copy of this. :takeit:

One always hopes for cheaper prices; but 90 % of the copies of this book I've seen have been worse than this one with the reds often quite faded.  I recall a CGC 8.0 slipping by (I think on the boards here) many years ago.  I think this book is still more under the radar than many might believe...

I've missed a number of copies but this one looked nice. As they say, "he who hesitates is lost" Good pickup.

The time has come to stop pondering on this purchase.

This book is so frustratingly difficult to find in any type of shape let alone one that contains some eye appeal.

:takeit:   John Buscema knocked one out of the park with this simple and simply sinister cover.  The Cult of Killers story in here is just nuts.

    I pondered a bit too long.:ohnoez:

I agree. It is coming. This will be seen as a bargain thread in the near future. I am not even identifying the great authors and artists involved or highlighting interior illustrations.

I've been  a pulp collector for years. Sold my Horror and Spicy collection a few years ago. Still holding on to the Sci Fi.

Throwing in an odd duck here. Not sure if this will make someone's day, or have zero interest. Pricing is also quite difficult, so def. listening to offers.

Captain America Comics #11; Coverless but otherwise complete; I'd say PQ is cream, first wrap is detached, and next couple are barely hanging on. Staples look clean. Centerfold firmly attached, which is a cool Stan Lee story btw, included in pics for your viewing pleasure. This actually belonged to my grandpa, and he bought off the rack. Spent many a year in the attic of a South Dakota farm house.

I'm going to lead with $400
