The popularity of Adam Hughes and Wonder Woman over the last few years has resulted in people submitting more of these books to CGC!
I could never find a copy of WW #196 good enough to submit and only recently 9.8 copies began popping up on the census and put up for sale. I snagged this one:

Picked this up about 10 years ago as a 9... just recently back from CGC

some peoples idea of beaters are called mid grade to others. Anything over a 7.0 is high grade to me. Granted that I don't collect anything modern where the rules are almost insane when it comes to preferred condition. I mean a 5.5 is a pretty nice copy of a comic-- and should not be just someone book to treat like you would a reader copy - which are in the 3.5 range and lower imo.
I guess it helps if you are rolling in cash or just have a ton of incredibly high grade comics that you can look down at anything below an 8.0
I treat all my books with a lot of love and respect no matter what condition they currently are in.

this was my first time grading a raw book. the grade was what i expected, but i thought the page quality was better when i saw the book raw. although, some of the pages did look worse than others. i guess that's why the grade describes a range. at least the colors look nice and bright. 
don't they send the book back with graders notes? i paid about a million bucks to get this pressed and graded. do i have to pay even more for the notes?

That is a super awesome book.

MFT is on a blistering pace. Submitted 7/20 and they are in QC already, will likely ship tomorrow. That's 10 calendar days and their stated TAT is 15 business days. 

Had 4 sets verified on 7/17. 
1st set  of 8 moderns shipped Friday. (ok with grades except 1 surprisingly low 9.2 on an ASM 239 & a 9.6 on Del Otto virgin 800. Stupid Diamond).
2nd set of 20 is graded/awaiting,can't see grades yet.
3rd set if still verified (my silvers that I want back the most... )
4th set, 2 books still at pressing. Any idea how long that usually takes?

Why do those slackers at CGC have to take weekends off? 

You can't see the green signature very well, but I'm still happy
I forgot how dirty the back was, but I won't press cause of the front, it wouldn't grade higher...and presents well enough for me!

This book was originally a 9.4 in an old slab and was one of my first CGC submissions I did back in 2010. I sent it in to get pressed and regraded and got a grade bump!
