  1. No worries or hard feelings on my end if it goes to the original buyer. My intent was to notify the seller if this gentleman's terms weren't concrete. From the looks of it though it didn't seem like they were. I could be wrong though.
  2. Yes, so it pays if you are selling something expensive, with a higher shipping cost, but if you add $5.00 to a $10 item and list it for $15, then what happens is you come up in a lower place in many searches. The other problem is, IF you offer returns and state that the buyer pays shipping (unless there was an error) you wind up paying the original postage you paid out, when you do a return. I'm very lucky, I don't get a ton of complaints and I can't remember the last time I had a return, it was years ago, but I do remember doing 1 and refunding and having it cost me the shipping. It kind of stuck with me;) I do free shipping on anything I list at over $50 or something like that...depending on my mood;) Sha, are you referring to best match or searches according to highest and lowest price? I'm pretty sure these searches sort according to"total" price (item cost + shipping).
  3. Depending on how much you sell it might determine whether or not an ebay store provides value, or whether maintaining top rated status is worth the extra hassle?
  4. Basic Store (250 fixed price + 250 auctions per month) Ebay Fees - 11% Shipping labels - 14% PayPal - 2% That is 27%. Looks like we are about the same. I do pay to schedule auctions so that may cost me more than you. How are these number meaningful if buyers are paying shipping compared to free shipping? I'm a similar number to him about 25% selling costs. It doesn't matter whether buyer pays shipping or you give free shipping, you still pay for shipping even if passed through thus selling costs. If buyer pays then you net more. Seems obvious but maybe I misread your ? Dunno... selling bunch of $10-15 items costing about $5 each to ship. Buyer pays. Use total revenue (sale price + shipping) instead of net sales to calculate your selling costs %, Sir.
  5. I knew that wouldn't last. Nice book!
  6. The right edge appears be slightly uneven near the top, but I could be wrong. The bottom line, a book of this magnitude should be submiited.
