Well thats all there is.... a group of whiny comic sellers that didn't like the fact i complained and put out a certain seller. when the transaction was said and done i left him a positive feedback. There is nothing valid in there BS.... you posted the link yourself, it's simple banter going back and fourth. In a "Perfect world" no one would ever have to deal with a complaining costumer or any bad person, but in reality this is the real world and it's 2015.. people are allowed to complain about something not being shipped properly or in a timely manner. i literally just complained to BBB, FTC, and state of florida over a shirt that was sent out VERY late... long story short i was right and was awarded a refund. in the case of the whiners here on these boards i never actually did have any transaction with any of them. so where do they get off putting my name on here? hopefully a mod sees this and we can get some sort of warning, reprimand or something towards them.

I want to call out Jenny fettuccine, JC james or whatever his name is and whomever else decided to put me out on this list.... I am not a ebay seller, i have not scammed or ripped anybody off. and i want my name off this list as well as those wildly_fanciful_statement posts on the spider-gwen thread taken down. Just because i complained about the way a ebay seller that didnt send something in a timely manner does not mean i should be thrown onto this ebay scumbag list... quite frankly i could give a rat's if all of you make a living on this, thats just part of the job dealing with people whom complain about the way you or others operate with selling items.. I have the right of being a consumer and a purchaser that i can complain and or contact ebay if i feel the transaction was not handled in a timely manner or correct matter. If any of you would like to bring up the one negative feedback feel free to do so.... Harvey Swick - you told me via PM to bring this up on here and i did so. please remove me from this list. Once again i have NEVER ripped someone off, or as all of you call it "schilled" or whatever may the case be.

Just stumbled upon this thread and i noticed one of the spider-gwen bandwagon jumpers whom have now disappeared from that thread had my ebay username listed on his block list. on there even though i had never interacted with that person before..... i realize this is for scammers and people who didn't pay up etc. i don't think it's right to just block someone based on you didn't like the persons comment here on this forum... It is what it is though...

Spider-Gwen - Jason Latour and Robbie Rodriguez
Gabagool replied to Jackhartmann's topic in Modern Age Comic Books
not sure if i posted it or not, but i ended up submitting both variants in for grading on saturday at the Megacon in Orlando. looking forward to getting those back and possibly displaying them in my comic/computer room. Also today i ended up selling both the other copies of the first and second prints of the phantom variants. i was looking for $50 bucks cash ended up basically getting $40... not bad considering when i bought both versions and 2 at a time it came out to about $29 and change via sellers on ebay. i basically ended up walking out my LCS today with my week's worth plus a bit more of all the new titles released today that i would have bought. -

The whole thing with rodriguez slaming Cho and the the original creator of that particular posed image of Spider-woman is just ridiculous..... i realize nowadays the comic companies want to get young kids, women, etc interested into this hobby because that means more sales for them. IMO this whole nonsense with these two artists that are making women look bad by making these characters sexy looking on a cover and even with the whole spin on wanting to change characters in movies to be more diverse is just going WAY TOO FAR..... I guess im an old school type guy, why can't they let these guys do what they want as long as it's not completely obscene, and leave comic characters that are a certain in the comics for the past 40 plus years the way they were for the past 40 years in a movie. obvisously modernized but stop with the politcal BS already it's just getting old. back on topic of Spider-Gwen, i decided to take both my first print of the phantom variant and the gold second print to CGC yesterday while attending the Megacon and decided let me get them graded. -
Did he actually do that? If yes, that is a douchey move. It does not matter what type of grail book a collector has, the important thing is that they have a collecting goal in mind and achieve it. (thumbs u Yep I said it. Guy had it coming too. He was being condescending and making attempted personal attacks because I dared to question the long term staying power and viability of what-if Gwen at the height of the hype and hysterics. Sound familiar ? And I actually agree with you about each collector and his goals. There was a caveat on my statement to him where I also said I liked his books. Dude was just out of line at the time, and I'm not sure what relevance any of it has in this thread. -J. Who are you to say i had it coming You have it coming everytime you post in any thread with majority of comments i see you posting... thats why people are complaining about you in this thread right ??

Went to Megacon in orlando and got cracked my 9.6 asm#300 afterwords had Stan Lee put his famous signature on it. I'm hoping it maintains the 9.6 or if i get lucky some how goes up in grade . All i know is i don't want it going down..

thats also agreeable, this forum is mostly comic dealers and ebay sellers and they claim everything is going to be the next big thing. it's quite obvious now even with the whole Spider-gwen. prices for her first appearance, special first issue variants and so fourth have now averaged out and all the band wagon jumpers have disappeared from that thread. while they are still semi maintaining decent value, they are still nowhere near what BA#12 value is. Now i will simply just have to agree with everyone else who felt the same way about Mr JDR... once again he has came through numerous threads and just started putting down numerous titles since i've been a member on here. he is also speculating as well.... i don't see anything on his info about him being a Professional when it comes to comics and all of their values and how they will sell. he nor anyone else can predict the outcome of any of these books whether they flop or they end up becoming the next big money title to hold onto for the next 10 plus years or so. hell the guy even insulted my sig at one point... saying why don't i get some "big boy books" because mine weren't in the price range of a down payment on a new car or anything to that nature.
-
I'm interested why you would want to shut JDR up? He presents his arguments cogently, if somewhat aggressively. And everyone is free to evaluate the logic and worth of each post. I think the main thing with JDR is that he always uses the terminology of "crashing" I don't see it as crashing at all. It is a period of irrational exuberance that leads to artificially propped up highs. Whether these are fomented by shilling or not is typically a case by case analysis. But those artificial highs, when they correct, can correct precipitously. And for those who are heavily invested, or who have bought in at the top of the market, it certainly looks like a crash. Never said i wanted to "shut him up" but realistically and im not the only one that notices it, he is constantly bashing on modern titles, especially ones that start to climb up in some decent value. everyone is entitled to comment on anything on this forum, but it tends to get old and quite annoying real quick when you always see the same person bashing titles that this one person doesn't own or like.... People have to face it that BA#12 in any decent shape or grade is going to fetch good money. Harley Quinn is for some reason a hot character and apparently with the way her current modern series is selling and how Margot robbie has been signed to play her in more then one film is that Harley is here to stay.... I agree with the fetch good money thing. But if it settles back down in the $800-$1200 range for a 9.8, what does that mean for the people that may buy in at irrationally (My terminology) high levels like $2000-2500 or even higher. That is still real good money, but to the top end purchasers, it doesn't feel good. well of course it's not going to feel good, but it's the luck of the draw like anything else.... it just means they bought one at the wrong time and thats it. I can NEVER picture this particular comic dropping significant value like what Mr negativity always tends to put in every thread about XYZ comic book.

People have to realize this guy was in the Spider-gwen thread, im sure in NM#98 thread and so fouth and he was ripping on those as well. he think's because he spent his kids college money on a couple of high priced books in his sig, that he the great and powerful wizard of Collector society... Whatever happen to forums rules that specifiy that " If you don't like something, simply just don't comment and leave it alone." apparently that doesn't apply here on CS.

Regarding Spider-Gwen: "The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long." The Phantom variants will hold up well if you buy them at cover. (thumbs u If you pay the first week premium you do not fare as well........ How about the 1:100 Hughes... How bout the 1:25? The Young? The Blank? The slew of other shop variants. They're ALL down. It's not a Phantom thing. It's a Gwen thing. No need to get all offended... i know that's your brand. your correct it's all Gwen related comics they just averaged out.regular cover 9.8 SG being sold at $60 bucks, i saw Hughes variant now at $400, about a few weeks ago someone even on here claimed they were going to buy or did buy one for $1400 bucks. i was originally going to get 2 of the pink first prints and then 2 of gold second prints graded. not anymore though... While i personally think the Phantom 300 homage cover is one of the coolest IMO, i don't think that now every other character coming out with a new issue should have that same cover. i just recall seeing the new Deadpool coming out with one now.. i think it's abit bunch. i see those even went down abit.... their fetching for a first print about $189 bucks.... a few weeks back they were even higher then that. either way i still like Spider-gwen -

Regarding Spider-Gwen: "The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long." judging by this thread, apparently it became a ghost town in here... so that tells me yea... it has died down quite abit. i had a extra regular issue #1 and a few phantom variants, i was considering getting them all graded this weekend, not anymore though.... just 2 for me and the rest will just get sold off or traded... -

So apparently the the value of the phantom variants has been dropping, that is according to the sold prices of these on ebay. even graded some are basically averaging out.. -
i was thinking of purchasing a 9.8 copy because i got a nice amount from my income tax, but with the prices going for as much as they are... i'm really just going to have to pass on it and just try and be happy with my 9.6 version i already own.

Have any of you seen a Gold phantom variant in person ? im curious as to how it looks compared to the shot on the ebay ads. -
Well thats good news for anybody who owns a 9.8 im also sure that means the lower grades are also rising in value.

the minute i got back into collecting comics last year, right after that the urge to buy figures came with it.... now i have an ikea shelf half full... Neca Predators, Marvel Selects, DC collectibles. etc these hobbies are two big pricey, timely, and space consuming hobbies i still love i love i though/

Who gets tired of carrying around comic books? I guess if your moving once every 6 months to every year and half, i can see getting a tad of a PITA to move and store.
