  1. I stopped by my local shop and asked him to get these for me. He said he couldn't. How the hell do you get these?
  2. So is the poll even valid at this point? Didn't we have another situation where we had to do the poll a number of times?
  3. I can't believe I actually found a magazine at my local shop. Not in great condition but I was so happy to see a magazine it didn't matter.
  4. Are you saying you didn't think you were buying a restored book?
  5. What is proper etiquette if you see a book posted that is also on ebay? Just PM the seller? Mind my own business? Group shame?
  6. For some reason the more I see that Kull #3 the more I hate it.
  7. Wife was so excited she found this for me today at a flea market for $1. Its pretty much straight up porn.
  8. The real question is are there companies that still offer dial up services. I remember them back in the day. People trying to contact you on your phone could never get through. We got in a resume today and they had an AOL email address. Not a single person in the office thought they still existed.
  9. Awesome mags. I wonder back then if you just paid the stated price or you haggle like today?
  10. I regretted not getting some bigger prints he had that were really not that expensive. I thought I would be spending more on comics. He also had a few originals I should have picked up. He was very friendly. I had on a Frazetta t shirt and he commented on how that was his teacher. Frazetta was also his Father-in-Law, and he helped with a few pieces. The girl on the cover of Vampirella #6 for instance, Kelly was having trouble with her, and Frank fixed it for him. Take a look sometime, it's a Frazetta girl, especially the face and hair. Father in law or uncle? I think he was Ellie's nephew.

  12. Hugely disappointing at WW Philly. One dealer had a short box of magazines and maybe a handful of wall books spread around. The rest of my non magazine haul. Found this sweet Frazetta cover. Ken Kelly was there so had to pick up a few prints and he was signing them for free.
  13. Oh, I forgot about that. Luckily I have not emptied my trash can by the computer so I can fish out my WW Philly bracelet - it says this November thin g is free to WW Philly attendees (hopefully I didn;t miss my chance to get my ticket onsite). Do you really need your bracelet? That seems silly.
  14. Good luck Chip. It won't be easy, but you really have no choice but to stick with it.
  15. That is awesome. This cover is becoming one of my favorite Frazetta works.
  16. It may very well be worth it. Or it may not. I'm just saying there might be cheaper options.
