  1. Bad advice, or honest advice. You might be confused. I really think you should apologize. While I think the experience would be awe inspiring. I also think that you don't have to spend 70K to master your craft either. Isn't that really what kav is talking about? Art comes from within, not some diploma from a prestigious art school. 70k is chump change for an opportunity to be enlightened. We live for experience, not to hoard money. Motivation comes from within... art is a reaction to to experience. Without experience, what are you trying to say... Look how well I can draw? Lots of people can draw, it's how and what you communicate that matters. If you get fixiated on just drawing, you will fail as an artist. Go the Vienna. Work the system... get funding. Be great. Only people who do nothing have regrets. There is middle ground between 70k and doing nothing.
  2. But you don't know, so it isn't the principle. You are assuming something.
  3. Doing something because you love it and it brings you joy is a much different conversation when you are talking about spending 70K on it and you expect it to be your source of income.
  4. Guy just wants to sell some books. I bet he wasn't expecting this.
  5. I think it is a silly rule by paypal. Its going to happen one way or another.
  6. Spot on. But you would be 'good to go' either way as a buyer, so it makes no difference to you whether or not they tack on the premium or not. So there is no benefit/detriment when dealing with a buyer like you. But it has been shown that there is a potential detriment when dealing with other potential buyers by adding the 3%, so from a seller perspective, why risk alienating those potential buyers? Category A buyers - indifferent to selling method Category B buyers - dislike 'paypal premium' method Wouldn't it be preferable from a selling perspective to have both Category A and Category B buyers as a potential market? Unless one thinks the Category B buyers are so few that the difference is negligible. Seems simple, and yet.... I don't disagree that some buyers are put off by it and therefore it is probably not a great idea as opposed to just baking it in to the price. I just think those buyers are completely illogical and silly.
  7. People let their emotions get the better of them. I don't care if the price is broken down between all the bills the seller is going to use the money for. Who cares? What's the final price? Does it work for me? Yes or no. End of story.
  8. That Animal House is awesome. I didn't know they made that.
  9. If someone is going to charge an extra 3% they are going to do it one way or another. I really don't care as long I'm good with the total.

  12. I thought it meant the time I was pressured by a stripper at the Show Club in Chicago Heights. I finally caved in and gave her a $20.00 for a lap dance. When she got done with me I should have given her $40.00. I'm pretty it didn't take them much to make you cave in.
  13. I don't think high pressure means what you think it means.
