I've never, in 17+ years on eBay, heard of "no sales to this specific state" (in this case, California.)

    I wonder why...

    hm

I assume if you sell to someone in the same state you live you may be required to collect and pay sales tax.

I thought the same, but he lives in Florida.

Maybe he just hates hippies. (shrug)

  2. I'm sure there are things just as bad in the superhero comics as zombies. Or do all the villians just hit people in the face with pies and then they all go have a lemonade at the end of each day.

Saying some people are uncomfortable with zombies is a far cry from asking "explain why people shouldn't be uncomfortable with it".

  3. It seems like some people are offended by the idea that something like the walking dead could overshadow their beloved super heroes.

The idea that zombies could be more popular than superheroes probably does frighten people. Likely for more than monetary reasons...

Do you have a good reason why it shouldn't?

Because it shouldn't. That was easy.

EDIT: And if you think it is only "zombies" that make TWD popular I think you might want to pay more attention.

  4. I would strongly suggest you take a course in reading comprehension. Where did I say anything about the ratings? I was referring to the story and it appears a lot of people and critics agree with me; starting with its downfall several years ago. If you like it you are welcome to disagree. See these links to your one:

    (Walking Dead is highly overrated)

When responding try to understand that not everyone has an agenda. I had high hopes for this season, but sadly I no longer watch. I can say the same about this season of American Horror Story. Would you like to attack me on that subject as well?

    Interesting hm

It is funny you say critics are turning on the show. I've actually been surprised by all the praise the show has received lately. Right now Metacritic has it at an 80:

Entertainment Weekly says best season so far:

Vox.com (never heard of them) had this to say:

"I can't believe I'm writing this, but The Walking Dead is one of the best shows of 2014"

    http://www.vox.com/2014/12/1/7314439/walking-dead-finale

This reviewer even mentions he disliked season 4 but now is enjoying season 5:

"In contrast to his predecessors, Scott M. Gimple, the showrunner since Season 4, is getting nothing but praise. And deservedly so. I stand by everything I wrote a few weeks back: The Walking Dead has been shockingly good so far this year."

    http://grantland.com/hollywood-prospectus/walking-dead-2014-midseason-finale-recap/

Most of the reviews I'm reading of the season are praising the success of the show. It is curious that your review choices were more from the niche market that would probably include more comic fans than the ones I linked.

Personally, I feel the show has huge peaks and valleys. I hate the way they split the show off and tell other stories. I'm truly only interested in Rick and I feel the split focus just doesn't work. It was what drove me crazy about last season.

However, I think a lot of my criticism of the show is because of my love for the book. Talking to none comic readers, they love it! My wife loves the show. I have coworkers that love the show. Clearly from the ratings, people love the show.

I'm not sure I'd say it is losing steam by any stretch of the imagination.

And this is your opinion. So let me ask you something. How come you are entitled to your opinion, but when I present mine "I am talking out my ***?"

    Interesting how your mind works.

One of those opinions is backed up by ratings and one is not.

  5. I'M NOT ITALIAN. I GET IT, YOU DON'T NEED TO POST IT FOUR TIMES UGH UGH UGH

I think where people are getting confused is in your name choice. Linguini is a type of pasta and pasta is most associated with Italy so members are making the leap in logic that you are Italian.

In actuality pasta was invented in China so logically members should believe that you are Chinese.

Perhaps a name change can alleviate any further confusion. Unless you are Italian, in which case the confusion doesn't lie with your name but rather the misunderstanding of pasta history.

This would make some sense if his name was Jimmy Pasta. Linguine did originate in Italy so no one should be assuming he is Chinese. :baiting:

  6. Glad you are getting them done, but that seems like an odd policy. I would hope the rules were the same for everyone.

To me it means they are just authenticating the signature and nothing else. Basically treating it like a signed piece of paper and making no comment on the item itself. Nice compromise.

Yep. They said normally they will only do the instruction manuals if they have comics inside of them.

Right. If someone else sends it in with no comics will they get it encapsulated? If the answer is no, that is not consistent.
